I only got the last 30 mins but in that time he was the best on the field. Totally controlled and dominated the game. I didn’t think he had that sort of game management in him. Well done Mitch he’s preparing a nice Egg omelette for my ugly mug.

I was worried too but I predicted he would have a breakout year in the 2019 prediction thread. Check it out. I did however think that BA would be gone by Easter. I owe the bald merkin some Easter eggs.

It’s one thing for the thread to be official but it’s another for it to be an appreciation thread. The merkin deserves it this season.

I thought his defence was good last year, but from an attack perspective it was probably his worst year in first grade. Good to see he is still defending well.

They say attitude is reflected in "D" which Moses definitely improved last season. Best game ive seen him play last night. To be considered better than Gutho last night is enormous given The Kings performance .

A powerful back three making plenty of metres has helped Moses enormously. Hard to lead when you are constantly on the back foot.

The back three have been enormous this year.

The discipline we have shown with the ball in and out of hand this year has been unmatched. I heard last night on the commentary that we are the least penalised team so far this season. That is huge compared to the majority of seasons over the past 10 years. The other impressive part is we are using the footy, plenty of positive attacking play in our game.

This is helping us dominate possession and in turn helping us dominate the ruck, give space to the halves and backs, take the load off defensively, making the opponent take risks and in turn forcing errors etc

I cant emphasis the point of making the opponent work to win the game. In the past i recon the word on playing the Eels was to play conservative, have a high completion rate and let the Eels defeat themselves in an arm wrestle. Which was true but as a fan it was hard to watch. This year, its like the team has a completely different personality and temperament. This team wont give you the cheap errors and penalties it has in the past. Its been really fun to watch!

True. Trouble is, he's a specialist half-back. Which is what he'll turn out to be at the Eels.
I still see him as more of a 'five-eighth' (or running half). He is best standing wider with three or four runners outside him. I also don't think there is a need for a 'traditional' halfback in the modern game. We don't have one and we're top three in the NRL for points scored. The Storm don't have one either and they're first.

Interesting comments from Knights coach Nathan Brown about whether or not you even need a halfback:
"In my opinion they've got two five-eighths. I think young Nathan [Cleary] at this stage of his career is more like a five-eighth than a halfback. That's just my opinion and I might be wrong, two five-eighths can work together if that's the style you want.
