Mitch Pearce quickest to 200 games - post in here if you think he's awesome!

He's only missed 15 games since he debuted so very rarely.

Hurt his back in his debut year and missed 4-5 weeks and hurt his shoulder in 2010 for another 3-4 weeks. That's all I can remember.

Very durable.

Easy to be durable when you don't f**king do anything.

It's a great achievement and perhaps a sign of the times. I wonder how long it will be before we see a 400 game NRL career?

On Pearce, he's a victim of too much too soon. I wonder how his career would have panned out if he underwent the same development path as DCE? Develop through the grades before finally getting a taste in 2011. I think it would have done him the world of good.

Instead he's thrust into a struggling Roosters line up and is asked to do his best. He actually does so well, he manages to help the Chooks become a Top 4 team at 19 and is then asked to help save the series for NSW...which of course he can't do against a backline of Slater (in his prime), Folau, GI & JT.

He loses confidence but since NSW has nobody in the halves, they stick with Junior Junior and try to build the team around him. However, it was the worst thing that could have happened to Pearce and once he was confident his Origin career was over, he absolutely killed it for the Roosters, taking them from a really good side to a premiership winning side.

All it needed for Pearce to graduate into a top echelon NRL player from the get go would've been any one of a handful of top coaches. He can thank his being canon fodder for f**kwits to Fittler/Smith, neither a coach's arsehole

In a perfect Roosters world, things continue to go to shit at Brisbane and Bennett flies the coop and winds up at Bondi where he puts the Roosters resources to better use.

At the very least, you wouldn't have seen that one marker mumbo jumbo. Soward would have had a longer career with the RWB as well.

Robinson got him at 23. Thought you rated Trent Pops?

For the record, Mitchell played well in Origins 1 and 2. Game 3 is irrelevant given how thoroughly NSW were smashed in the forwards. A genetic hybrid of Johns, Sterling, Stuart, Mortimer, Fittler, Daley, and Kenny wouldn't have been able to do anything.

Tremendous achievement for the fourth best half in the comp behind Thurston, Cronk and Johnson.

Chook.
