Mitchell Pearce - Contract Situation

We win the match if we have Papali'i and Paulo instead of DSaf and JSaf, too. Some of RCGs carries and hits were also immense.

Coulda, shoulda, woulda - we got bashed out of it. The first half was the key - and Parra got exactly what they earned out of it.

Obviously their forwards got the better of ours, I've acknowledged that several times and there are many issues that need to be sorted in the off season but put it this way if Pearce doesn't completely **** the bed I think we go very close to winning that game even if we didn't deserve to.

We had a couple forwards go missing today but when we needed the million dollar half to arrest a bit of momentum and place a kick where it needed to go... zip.

That has happened all too often for a bloke on top money for his career.

Klemmer is offering little for his price tag as well.

If you swap 7's we win.
That's fairly damning when the other bloke is Mitchell f**king Moses

It is obvious to most people... especially the neutrals watching the game.

Some need to take the Knights goggles off and look at the issues with our roster.

He wasn't the only problem but he was a big one. He's done. Sadly he's still better than our current options, so we don't really have a solution to this problem.

To be fair to Pearce most of his kicking mishaps have been him kicking it dead in goals or straight into the legs of an opponent, that was something a little bit different today.
Even though Pearce **** the bed I thought Clifford handled himself very well for someone playing their 1st finals game, set up a try for Tuala with a beautiful grubber, his long kicking game got us out of trouble on numerous occasions, and defensively he was excellent, led the kick chase more often than not and made 26 tackles without missing any despite having Niukore, Papalii and Paulo running at him all game

Pearce and Klemmer both need to be gone next year.

Pearce should be fairly easy to offload at full price, and Klemmer won’t take much of a hit either. He doesn’t suit our team when we already have both Saifitis offering not much variety, but a prop who can pump out more than 165m, 60 odd minutes and tackle at about 98% efficiency each and every week would be worth his weight in gold to some struggling clubs.

Agree, I think blokes running straight at him has to be better than what we're getting now
Yeah I think alot of the time he misses tackles on his line because he's slightly out of position and has to take a bad angle. If you watch Clifford play alongside Drinkwater it somewhat surprisingly worked.

I don't know about that, to be fair..

Sort of the reason we got him in when we were that struggling club.

I think Saifitis are suffice for that power game. Need props who offer something different. Then again Klem was fine today.

Thats the whole thing- Klemmer is still a quality a player, but we can’t carry him when we already have 2 Saifitis. I reckon we need an Asiati and Paulo in our team to balance the pack.

If BJ wasn’t such a bonehead, he’d be the perfect project player to pick up on the cheap for the front row. Brian Smith would have loved him.

Smarter to get rid of Jsaf and keep Klem.

But that will never happen.

Klemmer is one of our best every week. He doesn’t make a stupid error each game with the ball like the Safs do. He hasn’t offloaded as much this year but is still our best exponent of it along with Barney.

There’s also talk of his perceived lack of aggression but other than Barney which of our forwards do?

Yet when our forwards get criticised Klemmer and Barnett are the biggest targets. I feel like I’m watching a different game to others.

Won't be the popular opinion but I agree. Three props cut from the same cloth playing by new rules that don't suit their attributes.

Sucks so bad for us because these are exactly the type of forwards that would've dominated a few years ago. We got the pack we wanted but it was too late.
