41st minute - Kicks deep to Stewart, well inside Manly half.
52 - Catch + pass to Williams on halfway line.
53 - Catch + pass 20m out from Manly try line.
53 - Catch + pass out the back.
54 - High kick to left corner.
54 - Good flat pass to Guerra to score try.
57 - Runs straight at the line, passes out of line to Guerra, who then gets tackled.
59 - Catch + pass on own 20m line.
65 - Good defensive play on own try line from a high kick, help Williams out.
67 - V.good tackle on Symons 10m out from Roosters try line.
71 - Good long pass 20m out from Manly try line.
71 - Catch + pass
72 - Pass from acting halfback to Maloney who puts kick in for Jennings to score.
75 - Kicks to touch, Taufua messed up so Roosters get the ball back.
76 - Takes ball to line close to the Manly line.
78 - Kicks ball over the dead-ball line.

Not as bad contribution, as important as Maloney in my opinion. Just that Maloney and Williams had two more stand out contributions. It could have been Pearce who supported Williams when he made that break for Kenny-Dowall to score.

Yes, we know about Origin III, his reaction to it was a lesson to us all.

Many are jealous that they think they may have been as talented as Pearce, but didn't make it as a pro and never dated someone as gud looking as that woman from the Pussycat Dolls (Roberts was it?).

Nice post! And good observation about Pearce/Maloney in support. Pearce is great in support. His match winner to win the minor premiership is a fine example of that.

At the end of the regular season, he had the second most try assists, and most line break assists. by the end of the finals he had the most try assists. He had a good game in the Grand Final to help win the premiership. He's one of the leading halfbacks in the comp.

I think as a new idea we should debate the merits of Mitchell Pearce as a player, it's never been done before.

Does anyone here think he is the best halfback in NSW?

Interesting concept you've posited. I'm surprised it hasn't been raised before.

Speaking of original thoughts, I'm of the opinion that the Broncos get too many Friday night games and that it is extremely unfair. Am I alone in this view?

More than DCE did. A few more shit kicks and a poor tackle for the match winning try and he would have been a shoe in for the CC medal.

This reminds me of that massive thread after Roosters lost in 2010 in it's desperation.

Morris was in.

Pearce dominated this year (except for Origin but then again NSW always lose the battle). His assists numbers were huge - best in the comp.

Easily his best year of his career. It'll be interesting to see if he can back it up in 2014.

I think the only thing people have against Pearce is that he isn't a typical 'general' of a half leading the team around. Nothing wrong with that, but i think if Pearce really wants to prove his critics wrong, he needs to step up in that department and needs to dominate in games. He's always been a solid halfback (as much crap as i've given him) but i think he just needs to go up that extra gear, and i think he definitely can under Robbo. Good luck to him, and hopefully if (when) he gets picked for Origin in 2014 he can prove everyone wrong and lead the team to victory.
