Mitchell Pearce, what does he do well?

After yet another inept, embarrassing display tonight I really have to ask the question, what does Pearce do well or even above average anymore?
Defence-below average
Long kick game-average at best
High kicks-terrible
Grubbers/attacking kicks-worst I've ever seen in a top level half
Passing game-average at best
Leadedship-below average
Organisation/direction-non existent at times, below average at others
Running game-was a strength now below average.

Objectively can anyone find any aspect where Pearce is above average?

He's good at taking up a huge chunk of our salary cap. Can't think of much else...

Based on the last few months it's not much.

He hasn't put a complete game together in who knows how long. He's playing as anxious as I've ever seen him. I don't know if age is catching up with him or something but we really need to consider moving on from him. I would feel more comfortable committing to Lino as our 7 moving forward honestly.

I wish Kurt Gidley could come out of retirement for a few weeks.

No. He is not NRL standard.

Nowhere near it.

12 months ago i might have said his energy and his running game.

Today I'm just waiting to hear some rumblings from the club that we're lining up a succession plan. I can't see a direct answer coming from within the club. Need to find out if Crossland is up to it.

Nothing, terrible under pressure, as witnessed by his origin "highlight reel"

You guys reckon there is some background politics going on? Maybe someone above Obi doesn't want to see a million dollar marquee investment rotting in reserve grade? Must be something to it. There is no way Pearce deserves to keep playing based on what's purely happening on the field.

We 100% need to move in another direction sooner rather than later. Move some players on if we dont have room in the cap.

We have another year of Pearce and shouldnt extend it. To do so would be a reckless waste of cap space.
