For those who were there, can you please let me know why there are entire bays empty on the sidelines? My fiance's pics showed the same things, with the lower level being empty to the right-hand side of the 50m mark on the side opposite to the tunnel.

Good pics, better than I managed.

Jed, Catalans-Harlequins was the first game on the Saturday, and had the lowest crowd of the lot seated for the game. The lower level was all unreserved seated (GA) and at the start they had that whole side of the lower level blocked off. So you could only sit on the Eastern side (where this photo was taken from) or the Southern end, but after about 10 minutes they unblocked the Western side (where the camera was aimed) and people could shift up and get a better view.

We moved from the southern end up to the 50 metre line on the Western side, and sat there both days. Everything North (right) of that bay remained off-limits. There were still gaps in the lower level, even though people were sat in the two levels above with allocated seats (for a more expensive price). I guess it meant that as many people could come as wanted to at the various prices and views, but it wasn't well thought out in terms of the look for broadcasting.

Atmosphere was still impressive though, despite the gaps in the crowd.
