the dogs have also signed KK and Hodko..Greenberg has made a point that he's not waiting for the Melbourne situation to surface..

Newcastle have signed Likiliki, Henry, Kyle O'Donell and Neville Costigan.

Thw warriors have also been active..

they are 3 clubs who have shown their hand already others don't have as much to spend however others haven't lost as many first graders at this time of the transfer market as we have.

at the end of the day you could be right and we could be smelling like roses but to me it doesn't make sense.

The dogs have paid overs for young players... that is always a risk that may come off 1/3 times. It also means that they wont have the $$ to go after melbourne players, they have shown their hand but tbh KK, Mortz and Robo have not worked in the halves this year so can we afford to pay big $$ to keep guys like KK when we have already gambled on Mortz.
The club is going after an experianced half (Cronk, Kimmorley, Barrett or Orford are the only ones on the market) and Cronk is the best option. If it doesnt come off and Cronulla or the Dogs can no longer afford to keep Kimmorley or Baz we can make a move (unlikley to happen because both dont want to move anyway). Orford isnt the best halfback but he is a proven player over long period of time and would be another option. TBH I would prefer to have Humble and Mortz in the halves then keep KK on overs (i would prefer to keep KK over Mortz but not on overs considering we have already paid overs for Mortz).

We only need a proper specialist halfback(of any calibre) that can structure a simple and basic attacking routine.
2 5/8s don't work just like how centre's dont work as 5/8.

Should we make a list of all the ex Parramatta half backs and five eights currently playing NRL or there abouts for other clubs?

Maloney
Hodkinson
Green
Smith
Keating (going)

Are there any others?

rumours are that they're well in line to get Blair...

as for those young players, I guess there is an element of risk there but this is a club that have KK, Hodko, Baba and Roberts still in their books, they've got many options and plenty of talent to chose from..

ok, lets get 1 thing straight...

Cronk is still under contract with Melbourne and highly unlikely to be leaving.

Barrett will retire at the end of this year.

Orford is still under contract for 2 years on a lucrative deal, why would he just pack up his bags and be stop gap player on a moderate wage next season??

Noddy could be a chance and appears to be the only option...

the grass is not as green as you think.

I doubt we would have let keating go if we hadn't already done a deal with cronk. I'd say that's why we didn't make a play for hodkinson. Cronks already a done deal. Probably just waiting for the right time to announce it.

Get Sterling involved.
Problem solved.
Mortimer and Humble have huge potential. They just need direction. The concerning this is that they dont appear to be getting any direction.
