If the person in question is doing something wrong in a particular thread, it should stay there instead of targetting them with a new thread.

I could write a book about how I was poorly treated in primary school. But it would only be my side of the story, and most likely would read like some kid having a sook.

Please feel to have a bash at Mods, or moan about the little things - it's all much of a muchness. On the bright side, these type of threads probably serve to let off some steam, so its all good.

I made a prick of myself in International during the RLWC.

It was actually a plan. I decided that jealous trolls would make it hard for the regular punters to have a good World Cup experience, and i made a 'troll dump thread' where i chucked anything that even looked like it was an anti-RL post.

Half way through the cup people were complaining about my heavy handed approach, and i had to back off a lot.

In the end we had a great world cup and 10s of thousands of posts, but to this day i'm not sure if my heavy handed approach helped or hindered.

Long term, i'm sure that heavy handed moderating does more harm than good, and even short term with a plan it is a 50/50 thing IMO.

Also, the Mods were professional and sent you a PM with the reason.

But for some reason, you decided to whinge about it here in 4C, and even went so far as to call into question the honesty of a Moderator. But it was you who had the wrong end of the stick... right?

Then came the PM...

You became a bit toey and PMd me until I went to the trouble of actually proving you wrong. You were obviously taking the whole thing very seriously, forcing an official response.

I can't post your PMs to me Hevy, but I can post my reply about this, from June 2008 - an issue that is clearly still important to you...

Under the members guidelines, a link is required if one is available. There was no link in the news article you posted.

I gave Google a search and found numerous online sources for the article you posted.

Therefore I see no problem with the moderator's actions. He clearly acted in accordance with the guidelines that all members have to abide by.

I also told you it was a fruitless expercise and hoped that your next 'query' has as much substance to it as the reply you have been given.

Of course there was more, but I think you've been embarrassed enough.

In summary, you were being a nutjob.

Don't lie Willow. You went in search of a reason to defend the fact that my post was deleted.

I posted an article with a link posted at the bottom to the site. If that's not citing a source then nothing is.

I'm afraid that you've just gone out of your way to defend your fellow mods for f**king up.

Even then, I wasn't upset. I was a little surprised but I found the whole saga quite amusing - just like this latest venture where again a mod has felt the need to do something a little bizarre.

As for Millers being my friend in those days, nobody on 4c is my friend and nobody is my enemy.

If you feel the need to 'take sides' in the same way that you clearly hold a grudge, so be it.

I won't hold any grudges against Millers for today's events. Whether he does or not, time will tell.

Speaking of Millers, who has tried Millers Chill. That beer is awesome. If you haven't tried it and if you like Corona's, dump the Corona and change over to Millers Chill. Top notch.
