The guidelines and protocals moderators agree to follow are actually far more restrictive to them than anything regular posters need to follow.
You need to be able to justify any actions you take as a moderator to others.

Having said that, there is a bit of discretion involved, and I believe the moderators who find ways to manage forums without using moderator 'tools' too often are doing the better job.

Not everyone who asks can become a Mod. These days there is a strict criteria and a staring competition to undergo. Back in the day when millers and I became mods you only had to display signs of lunacy.

It's been fun ever since..

Having him reply and type in capital letters, maggot or stain each time i posted culminating in hiatus was one of the funniest things i have seen online ever..

He tries hard to ignore me but he can't for long, when he does it all goes bad for him again, like his recent racist threads, then he runs off and hides again for a while and the cycle continues..

Simply amusing myself like many other posters do.. i just have the best target to practice on :lol:

And i don't try and pass it off as "stirring up debate" like he does either..

Oh I'm not arguing with you there Surely, it's gone on way too long. But that's not what this thread was originally about.

I had my say about Millers over-moderating yesterday and the thread has taken on a life of its own.

As for the 'link' debate, my argument for most of this thread has merely been regarding the irony of the source v source debate. But it's all good.
