yeah - the loading thing is the killer.

6 weeks for a low king hit, 6 weeks for trying to gouge eyballs out but 9 weeks for a reckless tackle. How does that make any sense?

Woolford only got 8 weeks and he could have put someone is a wheelchair. And Barnes did play on until halftime.

I think 2 weeks would have been acceptable.

it makes no sense, thats why the system has to be changed.
Woolford was the one that was robbed the most. 8 weeks for that dangerous throw was harsh. 10 yrs ago that was a good tackle. How times have changed.
Fui's 9 weeks was also very harsh. On its own i would have given him 3 weeks.

Plus the line "Watch Cannings step up this week, he'll grab this opportunity with both hands" has been used too many times by everyone, although I sincerely hopes he comes through this time.

The loss of Fui is being underestimated, his running brought us back into that game against the Dragons, he lifts the whole team.

I don't think it has been to much. He got the job done while Fui was out. And it's against his old club in a finals game. That will lift anyone.

Fui's running may have got us back in the game against the Dragons, but on the back of his 4 errors which assisted the Dragons going to an 18-0 lead you would expect him to do something.

I think you are over estimating Fui's importance to the side. He has missed the bulk of the season through two suspensions - one against the Bunnies early on and then against the Sharks. Sure he has performed more than admirably in a lot of games he has played of late but that was his job. The 11 weeks he has been out plus the next nine show that he can also be a liability.

Going into the finals, personally, I would rather a Cannings or a Peek on the field as they are unlikely to have us playing down to 12 men if Fui happened to clean up another player with an over zealous referee sending him off.

You are underestimating the ability of Peek and Cannings who did the job they were asked to do when Fui was sitting out his previous suspensions. We didn't do too badly against those teams and now it is up to the likes of either Peek and Cannings to stand up and do the same thing.

It is no use worrying about what Fui brought to the field because we won't see it again this season unless if by some minor miracle they win an appeal.
Sums it up perfectly for me...

Colonel, 100% right anyone who thought Moi Moi was not a liabilty (tackling wise) think again, it was a matter of time till he was to appear before the tribunal. As stated it better than being in a play off with 12 men
Just on this, could we even assume that he may find it hard to get back? I mean if Cordoba and Tsoulos step up there is a lot of competition for those spots. And lets face it, if a guy is going to be out half the seaosn on suspensions then he may be disadvantaged in the chase for a spot in the 17.

Unless they dramtically change the point system it won't be long before he has another lengthy suspension from a high shot. He sails so close to the line on many occasions. Can it be fixed without altering the efect of it? I would compare it to Alex Chan. The hitman of the bench. Suspended way to much though. They won't pay you were sitting in the stands...

I don't want to give myself a wrap, but I could sit on the bench and give the Manly side hell on Sunday. They have nothing..

I know from the start you haven't really rated Moimoi or Perenara but seriously you can't deal in hypotheticals. It's all about risk and reward. The reward from Fui's running ability FAR outweighs any risk associated with him being sent off.If we use your logic we shouldn't ever play Tahu because he is injury prone. We shouldn't have bought Morrison, Marsh or Stringer because of their history. We keep the faith in these guys because they bring an undeniable value to the team despite the risks associated with them.

I really hope Cannings or Peek step up as you said but any forward who has been averaging 160m coming off the bench is a huge loss. Peek is WAAY overrated on this forum and although I know Cannings has the potential he hasn't shown enough. We don't just want people who get the job done we want people who EXCEL. Fui has been doing this whilst Peek and Cannings haven't. That's why he was in the team. That's why we fought the unwinnable charge and that's why we're appealing the decision. He has that much value. I don't see how you could justify having Peek or Cannings over him. We can continue to worry until we know he won't be back for sure even if the chance is close to none.
