More clarification of rules

Greets f7 admins.

References are not included in the word count of a story.

What about Disclaimers.

I may need to add a disclaimer in the next story and I'm not sure whether to include them with the references or as part of the story.

Can someone clarify please....

If it's part of the story, ie it adds something to actual content, then it is part of the word count.
If it's just references, then it's not part of the word count.

But a disclaimer can mean a few things. Ultimately is depends on the referee's interpretation.

For example:
Disclaimer: Names have been changed for legal reasons.
sounds more like a reference to me, and therefore no word cound penalty.
but...
*Disclaimer: Field goals were worth 2 points prior to 1971.
is adding to the story and should be included in the essay.

I stress that this is just the way I see it and others may differing opinions.

Like I said, it's one area where you have to rely on the referee's ruling.

It doesnt come up very often.

What I wll do is post my story to the ref and query it with the ref....

I see where you are coming from Willow and I agree with you on the examples you gave above.

I'm working on a piece fiction riddled with fact. So it's hard....but fun to decide on how to handle it.

Hi guys, I've got a quick question. In my article the title of it ("You light up my senses") leads straight into the article. I was just wondering if the title has to be separated from the article? If so, I can change it around about. I know I'm probably worrying about nothing but thought it better to be safe than sorry :)
