Inu could walk out on contract at the Eels

Parramatta coach Daniel Anderson failed to rule out centre Krisnan Inu playing elsewhere next season given the recent signings at the Eels.
Anderson told BigPond Sports Weekend, “Well there’s a chance because it’s very difficult in the current era of Rugby League to say that people are definitely going to finish their contracts.”
“Krisnan Inu in the current form and given last night where I thought he went toe to toe with Jamal Idris, who I consider to be an unbelievable talent… that’s the way he needs to play and if he does that every week well there won’t be any talk about him leaving anywhere.”
“I thought Krisnan really got stuck into him physically but he hasn’t done that enough this year.”
Anderson hinted that Inu will be competing with Ben Smith for the remaining centre spot given the signing of Timana Tahu during the week, “The proof is always is in the delivery of the player and Ben Smith had a great game last night, Krisnan had a great game last night, so we need to put to bed any rumours with our play.”

Inu was terrific saturday night, he's starting to find some of his old form. Backline that i'd like to see next year

1. Hayne
2. Grothe
3. Reddy
4. Tahu
5. INU.

That would be truly the best backline in the comp.

Our bench will be strong as well, when Poore and Cayless come off we can send Mannah and Fui out there. Our best forward rotation in years.

Just on that backline -

1. Hayne
2. Inu
3. Tahu
4. Reddy
5. Grothe
6. Mateo
7. Mortimer

would be even better IMO - but would the pack/team be better the other way?

Good question, but I believe we have far more attacking options with Mortimer, Keating and Mateo sharing both sides of the ruck.
TBH, Mateo can play a 5/8ths role from lock anyway, so I reckon we are better served with all 3 on the field from the start.
Obviously, KK can play a rovers role throughout the game if needed.

The thing is, now Robson plays on the right, Morts left and Hayne sometimes gets into 1st receiver.

With KK and Mateo, together with Morts and Hayne, you have essentially 4 playmakers.

And it could be too many cooks.

It will be interesting how DA will structure the attack.

I think KK, Hayne and Mateo should roam as KK is such a great support player. Mateo will provide additional 2nd phase play. Hayne just chimes in and I really would make Morts the distributor or organizer with the occasional go himself.

Most of our best play starts with the second phase ball from the pack. that alone argues strongly for Mateo to move back to the pack. It will give us greater options to create scoring opportunities without relying on the halves, nad release the pressure.

Mortimer / Mateo combo would arguably be far stronger defensively though. Probably less kicking options.

Will Robson be retained at Wenty if he is not in our top 25?

No ones going anywhere... what you see for next year is what we get... Im hopeing that the two spots remaining go to Lowrie :sarcasm: or Joey G and Kinga... they have played there hearts out for us this year, also i think next year would add punch to our bench, added to FFMM and Mannah!!!
