Unfortunatley the thing about Michael Witt was that apart from 1 season that Tim Smith played well (2005) , he was still a better choice than the nuffies we had to contend with.

That says more about the options since then in many ways

Brian Smith came to our club when it was a rabble and turned it around in the space of 6 months. He left our club in a much much better better position then before he was here. He could probably do with a coach like him at the moment really.

What's wrong with the one we've got?
He's doing the same thing.

Hopefully he's a keeper. Let's hope he doesn't f**k it up. I've just paid for my season ticket. No pressure Stephen.

Yes I'm talking to you

We made the finals sevens seasons out of nine under Smith. WE won the minor premiership twice. He blooded countless players. He made the right call on many players but he got a few calls wrong. Still I'd take him back in a heartbeat.

I wish Mortz well. But I think he's the next Michael Witt. [Which btw was a call that Smith got right.]

In some ways but I guess the main comparison is refusing to take on the line. Which he did 2009 and so did Witt in 2003, but the second season didnt seem to do enough.

Witt had a massive boot on him plus was a pretty good goal kicker.

Just on Smith, he made a lot of wrong and right calls but so does every coach.

I guess the thing about Smith was that he turned a number of players, who were average first graders at the time, into champion players, not rep players, but much more improved.

I wish Mortimer all the best, and Im disappointed Parra's let him go. :(

I hope he does well under Smith.
