I saw Dwayne Johnson at the beach on the Gold Coast. I was like woahhh he's even bigger than he looks on TV. Then I realised it wasn't The Rock. It was The Dell.

Saw the Raiders squad at the Grand Final recently. I thought it was kinda interesting as it all looked out of place - I got the feeling they won't be back a while, like when I saw Hayleys Comet as a little 'un.

Definitely wasn't boring or mundane, but the other week me and a mate went to some shit hole hipster pub across from the caxton on a Tuesday night. It sucked so we went across the road to have some pints.
Alfie Langer fell on me in the pisser,h goes ohhhh sorry bloke how ya going.
Could not even stand. So I started yarning and went out to the bar with him, here was Andrew Fee and the Pearl, table full of fifties, putting what looked to be a weeks wage on every horse dog and trot race that was on. I tried to talk to Renoff, he was f**ken spastic and only concerned in racing. So I went to Andrew Fee, told him I'm looking for a block of land at Jimboomba, "not far from where you grew up?"
He goes, (after slamming his beer down on the table) "f**king Beaudesert, I f**king hate Beaudesert, I played 1 season there and everyone says I'm from Beaudesert, I'm a city boy. I live at red Hill"

Yeah wasn't sure how to take that.

Smug suits no one. Even with a salary cap sombrero, you'll do your time at the bottom again soon enough. Be humble.

You like that line don't you.
Have it in your profile.
It's probably your only good line.
Yet it isn't even good.

Hows about you just go ahead minding your own business yeah

You might as well keep that avatar, Gypsy
and when people ask you can say with a sense of deep shame “yes, I’m a bandwagon roosters fan”

they’ll make of you, sure
But I’ll be way less embarrassing than just admitting to being a dragons fan

Yes Gee.
Really wanted me to know he hated Beaudesert..
He was actually very wierd tho, like he must hate people coming up to him so on one hand he kept saying ok mate piss off now, but on the other hand he could see I wasn't a pest and kept shaking my hand. It was like he didn't know what to do

Probably trying to figure out if you were the bloke he was meant to give the $300k to or not.

Around 1990 I saw Les Boyd entering Manly Leagues club.
I was a bit surprised that he was so short [And thighs like telegraph poles]

He returned my smile with a snarl ...... lovely bloke, lol.

Around the mid 80's I ran into Kevies best mate, Benny Elias in the Bourbon & Beefsteak downstairs bar.
As I was on a bender, I excused myself saying I didn't want to be a pest after speaking my mind about that years SoO [IIRC, it was the year that Benny had been left out of Origin I which we lost. He was recalled for the last two which we won]

He invited me to join him where we had a few drinks. Nice bloke [Rumour has it not to introduce ones missus to him tho, lol]

Not NRL
I met the captain of the Sydney kings last week.

I had no idea
Even when I was told I still had no idea who he was.

seemed nice though.
American I think.
