Allan is a loser though. He mooches of his brother, and doesn't respect women much more than Charlie does.
Do "awesome" and "legendary" people generally feel the need to call themselves that? Also Barney is often tagged as being superficial and you often witness him shooting himself in the feet when he actually likes a chick.
As for Charlie it was always obvious he was a miserable alcoholic, any women he truly loves ends up breaking his heart.
Do you seriously think that you are that much more sensible than everybody else that you are the only one who realises their behaviour isn't cool? People realise it they just find it amusing to watch. Remember his 200 chicks list? That was all about something an 8-year-old told him. It didn't seem cool at all, just sad.
The behaviour isn't being glorified, the reality of the lifestyle is being portrayed. Marshall is a dork but it is obvious he has a lot more happiness and general life satisfaction than Barney.
The Federal Agent, Nelson something or other, from Boardwalk Empire.
Phil Leotardo from The Sopranos.
wow, talk about missing the point. the glorification of Barney and his lifestyle can be summed up in one word.
irony.
those that do find Barney genuinely awesome, and would seek his lifestyle, clearly are completely missing the joke, ergo the point of the character entirely... and should stick to watching play school. Barney is a stellar example of a character totally drenched in irony. i would wager that those that don't understand the Barney character also think that irony is 10,000 spoons, when all you need is a knife. Barney is very much glorified in the show, but it is done tongue firmly in cheek, it is done ironically. futhermore - those that would emulate Barney are clearly the ones that the character parodies.
hahah
creepy back whipping fed?
nah i reckon he's good.
agree on billy batts. im glad every time he gets whacked.
any character on ncis
You take life way too seriously...
If anyone's seen Coupling (if not, you should) - Jane. I don't think i've ever wanted to backhand a chick before...but every time she speaks...
The Federal Agent, Nelson something or other, from Boardwalk Empire.

No way! She was my favorite.
But its a top show. Pity the Yanks ruined it!
I disagree with alot of people
Elliot or the Janitor from Scrubs? Give over!
Jay from the Inbetweeners! MOST hated? get outta town!
Sheldon from big bang?
All of them are the best, or next to the best characters on their shows (in my opinion).
One i hate, and whenever i tell people this, i always cop it.
Lisa Simpson.
I don't understand how people can like Jay, he's so full of crap, he's disgusting and he's just a complete douchebag and he killed a squirrel and got his pet dog put down.
Neil's the best character in the Inbetweeners imo.
Also surprised to see so many people nominate E from Enourage. In season 6 he was a whiny little bitch but outside of that he was okay. Didn't like Vinnie Chase myself.
Game Of Thrones- Prince Joffrey
Jay is crude, loud, horny and shameless which makes him hilarious. The exact same as Stiffler in American Pie. Obviously they are not being judged as humanitarians.
Can't say I'm a huge fan of Neil...being completely oblivious and stupid can get overdone.
That's not to say I don't like Neil, because I do. But Will and Jay are the two funniest characters in the show for mine.
I can like Will and when he makes an idiot of himself I feel sorry for him. But Jay I can't help but always want him to fail and get shut down and exposed. I understand his value and he's funny, but I just don't find him likeable.
Yeah I like listening to Neil(Blake Harrison) and Will(Simon Bird) off-screen.I love Neil because despite being completely oblivious he gets the most action and he is an awesome dancer. Interestingly enough if you watch any of the interviews with the cast the actor for Neil is the most articulate and interesting by far.
