he obviously wasn’t SBW level player but he doesn’t belong in this thread

He had an extremely long and successful career. 300+ first grade games, 15+ years as a professional player, succeed in completely differently roles and eras, multiple time premiership winner
He only won one SL premiership

Warriors have had plenty-

Fisiiahi, Locke, Lolohea, Hingano, Matulino come to mind immediately.

"Benny Matulino!" when he was carrying the ball.
At one stage, he looked like he could be a premier forward in the game.

So much potential, yet he seemed more and more disinterested as time went on.

The fish looked the goods, but made out of glass, Locke I've touched on in an earlier post.
Lolohea I felt for, seemed he was being played in a different position every week (I remember him going from 5/8, to fullback, to wing, to centre)
Hingano never seemed to be given a proper chance. I seem to remember he was hyped up more than Lino was

I cannot go past Ash Taylor.

Million dollar signing. Never did anything. Never looked a match winner.

Destroyed, by hype in everyway, retired when should prime, gone in the brain.

Just a kid, very sad, Corporate casualty.

I hate being sad makes me .....Angry.

Does anyone have a feeling that Ponga is going to end up like this. Hasn't done very much for years now and doesn't even look like his head is in the game. Isn't even close to the best fullback in the game despite commentators constantly talking him up.
I hope so

I don't know if it's him or Newcastle is becoming Cronulla of old. Players go there to chill, enjoy the beach life and buy some cheap properties.

In the game against Parramatta, him and Gagai were the only ones trying.
