Is anyone any good at setting up polls. I think it is time for "Survivor - Beer Island".

If we can put up a poll with a list of the most popular 16 beers. You get to vote for your favourite 3 each week, no particular order, and each week, the 2 beers with the lowest number of votes gets voted off the island. Once we get down to 4 beers, it becomes your favourite 2 beers, until only 2 are left, and then it's one vote each to decide the winner.

Should keep us amused for a while.

Croniews are overrated. They didnt have a strong taste.

New Throwies are the best. So handy to have a few in your pocket when transiting to partays....

Cascade. Its fruity yet bitter crispness is second to none...

grew up on veeb though, so in the stock standard schooie stakes, it'll always be my beer of choice

James Squires: GAG .....their porter is one of the worst beers ive ever had the misfortune of tasteing. Im sure there's plenty of pretentious gits that grit their teeth and drink it though, just so they can be "unique" and "hip". To put it in perspective, it tastes like a 10 day old cup of short black thats been sitting in the fridge

the pilsener is slightly better ...............slightly

Just got back from Tassie, every pub has Cascade Draught & Boags Draught on tap. Yum ! Although getting tack-aways is a bit tricky, most pubs don't have bottlos.

Fav was Cascade Pale Ale, although I'm a big fan of Boags Premium, didn't find either on tap though.

I saw him down there last year, smashing quite a few schooners and chain smoking. A model of good health.

Being a Victorian I have a biased opinion towards the almighty CARLTON DRAUGHT, but if you can gets your hands on any try the BOAGS DRAUGHT, slightly better than the Carlton but difficult to buy on the mainland. Oh how I love the rellies everytime a holiday in Tassie is mentioned :alcho:

Must agree fos - Ive just had a 2week hol in Tassie and Boags Draught is right up there - it is far better than the Boags varieties available in Sydney. Whilst in Tassie I met David Foster (the world champion wood chopper) and I must agree with his philosophy with regards to drinking - you need to keep up the greens with plenty of Vitamin B.
