I'm a big fan of Gavin Cooper he could turn out to be one of the better players I've seen that never played for their state/country

Totally agree. He very rarely gets dominated by defences, since he moved to the front row roll a few years ago, his game has really blossomed. When he was a little wider I don't think he was as effective. I'd actually have him start games over Tamou and then bring the statue on when the opposition are a little more tired.

Asiata is another one for us. He has genuine ball skills for a bigger man, I'd have him in the halves during origin when morgan and JT are away for origin. I wouldn't swap these 2 for anyone else in the comp coming off our bench.

Agree about Bolton .
I remember about 4-5 yrs ago he was mentioned quite a bit as a future SOO player .
Don't know what happened as he is ultra consistent ..
He gives 100% every game .

& you beat me to Asiata .
Great ball playing skills .

I've always felt Gavin Cooper doesn't get enough credit.

And from my team, I find Tim Mannah, while not flash, never fails to get the job done, but he seems to be unrated by most. He's nothing flash, but you know what you get from him.

Someone mentioned him above, even though he's an international Dean Whare must be up there.

Even Simon Mannering to a degree, given the hyperbole we see around guys like Jackson.

He could be an origin player IMO. That's why it surprises me he hasn't left the Cowboys. Obviously great to be at a successful team where he's comfortable, however he isn't going to play rep footy by starting on the bench for his club team. For his own career you'd think he'd be beat advised to go elsewhere.

I'm almost tempted to agree with this. Yes, he is definitely slow as f**k compared to most other centres, but take a look at a typical Broncos montage from 2015 on Youtube and Reed is involved in about 70% of it.

Because mainly Milford makes him look good.

He's a Tully boy mate, big into his hunting and fishing. I don't think he wants to leave his 'home' to play footy, which I guess was the whole reason the club came into existence in the first place is for lads like him to ply his craft in NQ and not have to go south.

As someone else mentioned, Tim Mannah is a great player, I would have him in my team any day of the week. Seems a good blokes as well, the clash him and Matt Scott had a few years ago at Parra stadium was epic but completely how the game should be played.

If you look at other teams montages against the Broncos, Reeds involved in 70% of that too.

Bolton was on the cusp of origin at one stage but he had a couple of off years I recall. Good consistent forward.

Reed is utter pants. Milford is excellent in attack, but when you combine plodder Reed with a defensive plodder Milford, well you get what we did to them in Tvl last year and in the GF. Not being a Gould, but I said it all along last year after seeng JT and Morgan absolutley carve Brisbane left side of the field (Morgan scored 3 trys directly over milford from memory), run traffic at these 2 defensive nuffies and you will go a long way to winning.

Not necessarily the most underrated players, but a couple IMO that could be worthy of being in most teams 17, maybe even some starting.

Tim Browne
Kalifa Faifai-Loa
Jack Stockwell
Robbie Rochow
Ben Hampton
Justin Hunt
Joseph Paulo
Jack Buchanan

Buchanan is probably the worst player in the worst roster in the comp.

Lol, prime example than i suppose for what this thread is for than yeah?

I just see him as a perfect 4th prop most teams have in there 17. Sure the Tigers have had him in there system but for some reason havn't given him time.

Stockwell is pretty underrated. He was one of the form forwards for the Knights this year before copping a season-ending injury. I'm surprised the Dragons got rid of him because I think he's going to develop into a fine prop.

Jack Buchanan

Feel free to have him playing for your team for 3 years, then tell me what you think
