The Thin Red Line

It was panned, because it was compared to "Saving Private Ryan", which came out at a similar time, and also because it was less action-packed - but I loved it.

The movie was loved by critics and nominated for awards, it was panned by audiences cause it went for arty instead of realism.

Everyone I've spoken to regarding the film says they disliked it because it was slowly-paced, and did not reach great heights.

I enjoyed the different take on war that the film portrayed.

Hudson Hawk

Saw it three times in the cinema.

One of my faves in the 1990's. I've always loved Bruce Willis and this was a cool film.

The whole revelation Andie McDowell was a nun always makes me laugh.

"He didn't know!!!" and they all ROFL. Dunno why...just hits a funny bone nerve.

Another terrible one I love that I rediscovered recently - Air America. So bad, yet so good.

The Shawshank Redemption. When it was released, a couple of early bad reviews saw crowds stay away from seeing it in cinemas. In fact in the US it only had a limited on screen release. It wasn't until it picked up a string of Oscar nominations that saw it get re-released on screen, which saw it given a wider audience.

The most overrated films of all time are those ridiculous comic book turds.

Shit like The Avengers, Dark Knight, Captain America and the list goes on...

And on....

And on....

Marvel and DC Comics et al gave birth to the crappiest movies in cinematic history.

Righto mate...

Please reveal your impeccable taste in cinema excellence...

Judge Dredd
Dredd

I like 'em both. That mid-90s sci fi and Stallone for one is perfect. Dredd being so dark and gritty and grimy is cool too.

Dredd was excellent.

2 that I loved from the 80's that plenty missed are Better off Dead and Weird Al's Vidiot from UHF.

Made the kids watch both and they are right into them now as well.
