Misty a great choice would be "Children of the grave" & "Never say die"....both these songs have great riffs.

"Voodoo" & "Country Girl " by Sabbath with Ronie also have great riffs.

Metalica's best ever song was "Master of Puppets".

Metallica's new stuff is great. Some people who like their old stuff hate it, but I think if Frantic ain't one of the best songs around I don't know what is. Also Purify is a great song.

Go Coal Chamber and Sevendust.

Oh, and go "Sandman", and "Ride the Lightning" rules!

Hey don't diss the Gunners......the Gunners and Axl OWN YOU!!!!!!!!! Just picked up their Live Era double CD - man these guys ROCKED!!!!!!!!!!!!

Don't Cry is a classic, so is Nightrain, Patience etc.........slippery - Metallica only wish they were as cool as Axl, Slash, Dizzy and Stradlin.....i know i'd rather be as crazy as Axl is these days and threatening to make new GnR albums than actually doing it and creating total trash: ie: like Metallica.........

Gunners are great.....the first concert i ever wen't to was Gunners at Eastern Creek with 70,000 of my closest friends!, when the hell is "Chinese democracy" comming out??....i've been hearing for god know's how long now that it will be released in 3 months!!

Best Songs where Coma, Estranged, Paitence, November Rain!, Gunners where the bench mark for all bands in the late 80's to early 90's and where twice as popular as Nirvana where at there peak o5r Metallica for that matter.

please...gunners more popular than metallica??...in the early 90's metallica was the most popular metal band without a doubt...that black album absolutely killed it.....i recently found out that the album is still in the top 100 albums in the UK....12 years later!!
as for gunners being cooler.......where did it get them??.... axl was a arrogant idiot who had his own private dreesing room separate from the other band members...some band huh? i guess thats why they split up....
metallica is still going strong 22 years later........

best metallica - outlaw torn. best use of dynamics ever in rock, plus an awesome solo to boot

as for how big metallica's following is, their latest album "st crappy" even hit the top of the charts

I hate to say it mate but Guns n' Roses in the early 90's where the biggest band in the world by far, i remember well going to school in the early 90's and everyone had both Use your Illusion albums...if not there was something wrong with you, Metallica where big also at the time but they where completely overshadowed by Gunners like everyone else.

Both Use your Illusion albums toped 25 million copies sold each....this is absolutely remarkable together with 6 world wide number 1 hits from both these albums put together in the space of a year & half.

Axl was a arrogant prick, not only that he was an alcoholic and use to bash his ex model girlfriend ( in November rain film clip) but?? no one can doubt his musical talent or the other's for the matter which was simply amazing.

Gunners had 70,000 at Eastern Creek in 92...i was there!, most observers felt there where easily 100,000 as thousands snuck in!, i won't doubt that at all!.

The band had a massive falling out due to the expectations & media attention which drove the members of the band insane, just another example of how huge they where.

Yeah, Voodoo is great. I reckon Parra could take a sample of it to play wne trhe opposition side runs out. You know, where Ronnie screams like Satan "Bring me you're children, they'll burn"!

Don't nmind the riffs off 'Disturbing the Priest" or Zero the Hero" either

As for Ratt, I reckon Round and Round was one of the classic hair band songs of the era, like Ozzy's Shot In The Dark or Motley Crue's Looks That Kill.

Bloody oath that would be awesome....just imagine them running out and the opening riff of Voodoo starts playing...wow....and when they score all you here is "It's vooooddooooooooo ":D

Yeah Round & Round was good and that particular album was strangly there biggest!, i like "Back for more" & "Lay it down", Ozzy is in A ratt film clip...i forget which one.

My favourite Ratt songs are "Body Talk", "I wan't a women" & "Shame shame shame", i just love the sound of ratt particulary Steve Pearchy's vocals.

I watched rage last night & they played "Live wire" by Motely crue....god i love that song and espically the film clip!, Tommy Lee is still one of the best drummers ever IMO.

Metallica. ratt. Gunners. BAH!!!!

Give me Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Motorhead, Ozzy, Dio and Sabbath any day.

Gunners? Good riffs, but I can';t get excited by a band that takes 10 years to write a new album. Deep Purple wrote and recorded Machine head in 17 days. They used to do an album and world tour every 6 months. That means Gunners were 20 times slower that Purple, and never cam out with anything near as brilliant as Higway Star, Burn or Speed King.

Metallica are at least a cohesive band, but didn't Lars take 6 months to the the drum tracks for "Load"? How long did Ian Paice get for Machine head? and produced a better product?

I admire Metallica for taking our music to where it is. I love Sandman, Unforgiven, even old Whuiplash. But I reckon, for dark and heavy, they are still short of Sabbath's standards.

Ron, how abouit seeing Caylo lead the side out through a dark tunnel filled with smoke to the opening riff of Iron man?Or Painkiller by Priest? Or Aces High!

Whenever Canterbury play you could have stuff like "The Evil That Men Do"

Yeah this is terrible, i think Axl doesn't honestly know what he wan'ts...this album "Chinese Democracy" was suppose to be released ages ago...Axl & Dizzy Reed are the only remaining members the others where suppose to be Dave Navarro from Chilli pepers & Porno's for Pyros and a few others.

Deep Purple wrote and recorded Machine head in 17 days. They used to do an album and world tour every 6 months. That means Gunners were 20 times slower that Purple, and never cam out with anything near as brilliant as Higway Star, Burn or Speed King.

Music has changed alot Misty & recording takes so much longer now & is virtually done with the members all in there own little booths playing there instruments....gone are the times where bands such as Van Halen, Sabbath & Purple would record all there albums live in the studio with no overdubbing and maybe 1 or 2 foot pedals for the guitarists, Many Gunners songs where brillant lyricaly like "Coma " & "Estranged" which both songs go for close to 10 minutes each and involve many different instruments & sounds.....actually these songs where very much Pink Floyd like.

Metallica are at least a cohesive band, but didn't Lars take 6 months to the the drum tracks for "Load"? How long did Ian Paice get for Machine head? and produced a better product?

See what people don't realise is that Gunners where so damn big this lead to there own down fall, the same happened with Kiss where Ace & Peter couldn't cope with the pressure of fame which lead to there drug & alcohol related probalems, the same happened with Gunners.

Metallica have always been very popular but? never extremely huge like Gunners or Nirvana for that matter, Gunners & Nirvana where both responsible for bringing inovating music to there era's respectively.

Metallica have simply just gone mainstream, blended in well with the likes of Soundgarden, STP, Offspring etc in the mid 90's & now are blending in well with Coldplay, Nickleback etc.

Metallica where never as technically brillant as Gunners they where more like Van halen where a classy riff & solo together with a couple of bass drums & deep voice wen't a long way.

Ron, how abouit seeing Caylo lead the side out through a dark tunnel filled with smoke to the opening riff of Iron man?Or Painkiller by Priest? Or Aces High!

I have to say Misty after watching Motely Crue on rage on sat night i reckon "Live wire" would be an awesome song to run out too

Iron man is good but i've heard & played it so many times that i made my own solo & stuff to the song when i play, but for people who haven't heard it much??....yeah definately.

I always liked "Just like living in paradise" by David Lee Roth at a football game, Parra stadium have played this song many times when a try was scored.

Kick start my heart would also be pretty cool i reckon.
