btw - agree with teh original post ... all teams have waves of support when winning - parra is no different .... and there's nothing wrong with that - its always more encouraging and enjoyable to be winning

I reckon I saw more Tigers fans come out of the woodwork in 2005 than any other team in recent memory.

The thing with Parra is there are a hell of a lot of supporters out there in Sydney and beyond. Parra are one of the better supported teams, I wouldn't be surprised if to fans of other clubs it looks as though many of these supporters are recent converts, not sure if thats entirely true though.

Not wrong. We had a guy at work turn up the day after the GF in an 80's Balmain jersey. First one he'd worn in 5 years on the job! :lol: At least he owned one I guess.

See that is someone that supported Balmain but never got on the merger bandwagon until they went on their winning streak. I guess that is probably why there was such an influx of supporters all the Wests and Balmain supporters both jumped on (this year they have an avg crowd of about 19K - best of the sydney teams but obviously that 35K at SFS was good for that stat.)

Most of those people are lost to the game. At least some people in Melbourne came on board......
