Yeah I go on stats like I told you, which the Hall of Fame ALSO requires you to have alot of LMAO. therefore its only right Jerry Rice is among the greatest of all time.

John Travolta, maybe it's a generational thing. I knew the NFL inside out in the 70s up to the late 80s, but haven't followed it as closely since then. Somehow I guess I missed the name of Tuggles, because even as a casual follower I stay up on the big names and best players. I don't think I've ever heard him mentioned in the same breath as the great linebackers, but on the other hand if he really is the leading all-time tackler, I can't argue with that.

Jessie Tuggle: After joining Atlanta as an undrafted rookie free agent in 1987, the middle linebacker went on to play 13 years with the Falcons and total 2,065 career tackles – the most in team history. He earned five Pro Bowl appearances and led the Falcons in tackles in 10 of his 14 seasons, including a stretch of 12-straight 100-tackle seasons. He also led the NFL in tackles with 207 in 1991 and 201 in 1990. He holds the NFL record for most touchdowns by recovery of opponents’ fumbles with five. Tuggle finished his career ranked third on the club’s all-time list for most games played, with 209, and most starts, with 182.

The all-time Team leader in tackles, not the NFL. But he did lead the league a couple of seasons. I have to upgrade my opinion of the guy, but still not a top 20 all-time player.

Yes I get you about you not hearing about him but I would have thought if you were any sort of NFL fan you may have...IU dunno. Yeah on them stats I knew he was the Falcons all time leader, at the time he retired i`m sure he was the NFL`s leading tackler!......I did read it somewhere i`ll look for it.
