I think Cayless had a great year last year. This year he has been going ok, against the tigers he was looking to off-load a few times however there was no one there.

If our halves continue to play poor, one option I think would be to move mateo to 5/8 and cayless to the 2nd row.

To the second row. Yes!

If you take swifty seriously, you need to question your own intelligence. Parrafan09 on the other hand, appears a genuine moron.

if you cant take , simple sarcasm then i would put you in the same boat as those other two. maybe we can ship you all of to the south's forum. i think you 3 would make great lackeys for dave q.

To the second row. Yes!

Pretty sure that's been tried before with disastrous results. I believe it may have been 2006(?) that a move to the second row was flagged for Cayless, which lasted about half a dozen rounds of poor results before he went straight back to prop.

can someone tell me one good thing that cayless has done his whole career for parramatta? he's hopless and if we ever want to win a premiership again we need to get rid of him.. whats your thoughts?

We wont win a premiership this year without him. Front rowers are'nt there to look pretty and run length of the field tries, they are there to do the sh*t, and whilst blokes like Fui are looking sensational running onto the ball, Nathan is covering him in defence when he is shot or goes for the big hit and misfires. The other thing you you have missed old mate is the respect Nathan carries within our club and the esteem our players hold him in, and if you do not believe what I am saying, have a look at the semi against Canterbury last year when he did his hamy and had to come off, our blokes went up a few cogs to win it for him, and plenty of players said that after the game. Have a look where we were at in the Grand Final when Nathan came on, the players as one lifted with his presence on the field, as not only was it his dream to win that game, but the balls he showed to get on that ground is down in our clubs history. Nathan Cayless will go down in the record books of this club as truely one of our greatest front rowers, he may not be everyones cup of tea, but he has put his body on the line week in week out for years, and he will be our longest serving captain, and I believe coming up on the game record of the great Bob O'Reilly. He has played in three World Cups, two I believe as captain, one as a winning captain, and how many semi finals and grand finals has he lead us out, Nathan may not be the prettiest front rower in the comp, but I would have him any day, as the pretty boys go missing when you go to war. Have a think old mate, put yourself in a defensive line trying to pin the other team in their half for 6, more than likely they have come up the middle and you have been in 3 or 4 of those tackles, they kick and you have to get yourself back to where our ball carrier gets belted, and away you go this time on the receiving end?? Put yourself in Nathans position, work out how many games he has played, how many years, how many times he has been severely beaten around the face and body....and then mate give yourself an uppercut.

Old mate stop watching the pretty boys, and watch the blokes who scrap and brawl to give the pretty boys the field position they need to weave their magic.

The only thing you can bag Nathan Cayless for is he has a hamstring?? Front rowers and hamstrings...what next??

He is not a second rower.

He is a ball playing front rower, he doesn't have the same size but he can show a great deal of skill.

I don't think he has the ability to take in what he wrote himself.
Then again, I would say that. I'm your boyfirend, apparantly.

Well said Terry, even though it might have a little of the "old props club" bias. ;-)

EXACTLY - some time it's not what the player does on the field, as what he inspires others to do!

Absolutely correct. I wasn't going to bother replying to the clown who wrote this thread because i didn't think he deserved the reply, but glad to read your response and the responses of a few others in here. Cayless is a club legend and deserves better. He isn't playing at the top of his form right now, but that doesn't mean he deserves this sort of shyte!

Dont bother with him, he clearly doesnt know the game. Reading posts he made in the international section, he believes that for the Celtic Crusaders to get more media attendtion (ala cutie), they should have signed Thurston or SBW as opposed to Gareth Thomas (for Welsh RU international)

Still doing the hard yards & doing it proud Terry.

Thankyou for your input.

Posts like that are what makes me proud to be a supporter of the greatest rugby league team ever. Recognising the pride that Nathan Cayless has for his jersey, re-enforces my life long passion.

Thank you again.
