As far as achievements go, Hindmarsh is one up on Smith, Cronk and Slater.
He has a World Cup to his name.

I don't know how a good judiciary record could possibly NOT relate to his actions on the park.

He's respected for his hard work on and off the park by his peers and his coaches at club and rep level and he truly is a never-say-die style of player, always there for a try-saving tackle, cleaning up loose balls etc.

You obviously won't be swayed either way, nor do I care as his career speaks for itself. I guess a player with the class of Hindmarsh shines a light on the disgraceful, remorseless cheating for which your club and top players are known. I don't know...

I'm pretty sure Hindmarsh has been suspended before and he's hardly the cleanest skin in the NRL.

He is a great player, the best second row of the 2000s and a wonderful ambassador for our sport. He'll rightfully top every premiership pity list and be remembered for his incredible work ethic and fantasy footy heroics.

Yeh he has been suspended and as shown last season can be baited but he is a very honest toiler.

But he has come out and squashed the article saying it was BS

I'll admit that I was sceptical when I read the story, as there were no quotes about retirement from Hindmarsh. It still might happen this year, but that was why I added a question mark to the thread title.

I just heard him on Fox Sports News saying "The day I wake up and feel I've had enough is the day I'll let everyone know I'm retiring" Then he finished by saying "I don't know where these stories come from"

I don't get the obsession with this guy.

Overrated, and a top notch wanker to boot.

If he didn't run around with his ass crack hanging out, making flops while giving the illusion of working hard, he wouldn't win those Provan Summons medals.

Nathan Hindmarsh has been an incredible First Grader during his time.

Known for more his attacking prowess in his earlier years and defensive qualities in his latter years but always with an amazing attitude of commitment and never say die. Some of the cover tackles he makes each game as a forward is incredible.

Every team would love him in their starting pack this year even at 32.

Hope he plays on for a year or two more beyond this year. He is great for the game of Rugby League and he will be sorely missed when he finally hangs the boots up.

No I wouldn't.
And I'm sure most others on here would say the same.

Quick something good is being said about a Parramatta player, you better come in and tell everyone what he is actually like!

As a Raiders fan I have to say I don't get the haters on here.

He's what all good footy players should be - a footballer, big heart, talent, determination, loyalty, good bloke etc.

I would have loved to have him at the Raiders.

No thanks. If I had to choose who to leave out between Glenn Stewart, Watmough, T-Rex or Hindmarsh, the decision would be simple, Hindmarsh would be warming the bench (if he was lucky).

Hindy has been great over a number of years and I have no reason to doubt he is a good bloke but to start claiming that in 2012 he'd be a certainty to make any starting side is a bit rich.
