Nathan Merritt jacked again.

Merritt is 26 and Folau is 20.

Folau has achieved a ridiculous amount more in his 3 years in first grade (1 premiership, 2 grand finals, Origin/Test matches) then Merritt could ever dream of. I don't know how you can say he is a better footballer.

for his entire career falou has been surrounded by excellence. coaching and player roster wise. he doesnt know what its like to be the best in a team that constantly struggles. and i dont think he could score 22 tries when his teams gets the spoon.

having said that, falou has many years to improve. but right now, i do think, as a complete footballer, nate has his number

Man,I must have been watching different games fot the last couple of years..Merritt is out best support player bar none.

My thoughts exactly.

Top 20 players in the league is a stretch but definitely a star.

Merrit suffers from the aboriginal curse.


He can be brilliant one day and a bit off the next.

He can be zippy and make the opposition look like fools or he can get crunched and manhandled against the big players.

I just pray he doesnt do the walkabout thing that Blacklock,mundine, walker, peachey, Russell all seem to do where they just p*ss off into the bush for a few weeks without telling anyone. He has been a model citizen if nothing else, so far so good.


Listen, in a 30 man train on squad how many would be specialist wingers? 2 or 3 tops....they like to reward workhorse second rowers or utilities that go wing/centre/5-8.

Merrit isnt top 3 wingers in NSW. Mayyyyybe top 5 but will 5 get picked?
