This thread had potential. Kind of petered out a bit. I expected better. 3/10
No it’s not okay, you heard the man get f**ked, no room for any positivity at all in hereI was a harsh critic but feel we’re turning the corner. Is that ok?
Starting every week probably, good move for him personally, grand finals aren’t everything.Aaron Woods was about to sign with Manly but at the 11th hour Dragons swooped in and offered contract.
It was a no brainer for Woods, if he goes to Manly he may have to play a fair bit of reserve grade, at Dragons he knows he'll be playing NRL.
Agree mate, well said.So i guess your employment is not as a life coach ? Glass never fu---n full !!! Agree that the club should be open to scrutiny and they have stuffed up a lot in the past and should be called out on it, but i keep coming back to Wayne Bennetts comment years ago about all clubs " it is never as good and never as bad as you think it is "
Calling the Dragons a steaming pile of shit & that it deserves to be reminded with criticism every day is a bit over the top IMO. How do you encourage change by criticising EVERY move they make , particularly without any accurate information to what is fronting the club ( contracts, salary cap , injuries ,sponsorship, financials , personalities ) ? I think with Webby we are going in the right direction but if the side is still in the same position this time next year then the coach will be accountable, unlike the situation for the previous coach until it was way too late. I try to live my life as a Dragons fan more positive than negative and i don't mean like a Pollyanna but hope may be stupid , but it is my religion !
Plus he’s hard to put downDare I raise my head above the parapet and suggest that Woods might not be an entirely awful signing?
His post contact metres are good and he can offload.
Agree, never thought he was probably Origin level, but can be more than handy hard to put down and demands a few defenders. Scored against us a few times. Not a bad depth signing. Seems like a pretty good bloke too, could assist the culture and grooming youngsters coming through.Dare I raise my head above the parapet and suggest that Woods might not be an entirely awful signing?

This club is a steaming pile of shit, and has been for a decade.
Soft. I expected fire and brimstone.
The offseason is a marathon, not a sprint. This thread had potential. Kind of petered out a bit. I expected better. 3/10
all good points mate, remember the old home and away system were you played each team twice making points differential mean something. rant over i doubt it ol fellaDragon Blood most of what you have said is indeed correct . The game in general has gone downhill now and I put this down to any number of reasons , but the main reason , at least imho is that the ARL or NRL has not had a true chairman since the 70’ - 80’s .
There’s no Bill Buckley or Kevin Humpreys nor Ken Arthurson around these days, instead we have these figureheads who merely assume the title of Chairman with little aspiration other than to make as many dollars from the television networks as possible .
To do this the game is now played at night - which was never intended , the actual competition draw is a farce where they have some teams playing the lower placed teams and the others playing against the top teams . How often does Brisbane play a day match ? They have a continual Friday night game with no short turn-around - ever so fair.
And please don’t get started about what the games governing body penalizes players that play around with Johnstone&Johnstone baby powder . Thanks goodness that little quirk does not bring the game into disrepute .
The point is that the grassroots of the game suffer as a consequence of their ignorance and in some cases plain bluudy stupidity .
Rant over .
As soon as you don't play everyone home and away your competition is compromised. And you double down when some teams are forced to play without their best players during SOO.all good points mate, remember the old home and away system were you played each team twice making points differential mean something. rant over i doubt it ol fella
To Infinity & Beyond !Two years ago I despised McGregor more than I despise Buzz Lightyear. The club was f&&&&d. Recruitment was comical. Team selections bizarre. I hated everyone and everything.
Fast forward. McGregor is gone. Norman gone. Some other rubbish gone. Webb seems very switched on. Promising juniors being given opportunities (and playing well). Some very good players being brought in.
Looking forward to next year.
Jebus, you had me until Bill Buckley & Kevin Humphreys !!! They kept the game in the 50's even though it was the 70's !!Dragon Blood most of what you have said is indeed correct .
