Sacramento Kings have offered their 5th pick and Nocioni to the Detroit Pistons for the 7th pick & Tayshaun Prince says ESPN's Chad Ford
Philadelphia and Detroit discussed a deal that would have sent Tayshaun Prince to Philadelphia along with Charlie Villanueva and the Pistons' seventh pick in the draft for Elton Brand and the Sixers' second pick. Collins and the Sixers, however, wanted more in return.
Multiple sources tell Yahoo! Sports that William Wesley, who is a member of the inner circle of LeBron James, is telling teams with salary-cap space that their chances of landing James would dramatically increase if they are able to trade for Chris Paul. Paul is not on the trade market but some team executives believe that acquiring the All-Star point guard is not out of the realm of possibility if a high price is paid.
"He can be had with [current owner George] Shinn in there, but once the new guy [Gary Chouest] takes over, he's off the market," one executive said.
Memphis recently offered O.J. Mayo in a package for Paul, but the talks went nowhere.
The Nets are willing to offer the third overall pick, as well as any player on their roster except for Brook Lopez, according to sources.
The Blazers have long been in the market for Paul and are expected to make an offer, according to a source.
EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- While Derrick Favors showed the New Jersey Nets he's able to jump 11 feet, nine inches from a standstill, DeMarcus Cousins displayed something he never really showed off at Kentucky: An outside shot.
With the Nets holding the third pick in Thursday night's NBA draft, those two top prospects held simultaneous workouts Monday at the team's practice facility as the franchise's brain trust wrestled with one central question: Do we go for athleticism over size, or vice versa?
And if size is the choice, is Cousins a player capable of moving over to power forward to play alongside Brook Lopez for the foreseeable future?
"The workout gave us an opportunity to see the full menu of what both guys could do, what they did when they were fresh, what they did when they were a little bit exhausted, so not only seeing what they can do from a skills standpoint but also mentally, when they got a little bit worn down, how both guys responded," said Gregg Polinsky, the Nets' scouting director.
The Nets are still undecided but leaning towards selecting Wes Johnson with the third overall pick. If Minnesota wants to secure Johnson, sources tell Yahoo! Sports that New Jersey will require draft picks from the Wolves.
The Golden State Warriors have sent Corey Maggette and the 44th overall pick in the 2010 NBA Draft to the Bucks for Charlie Bell and Dan Gadzuric, the Warriors announced on Tuesday. Corey has been a consistent scorer throughout his career, said Milwaukee GM John Hammond. He shoots a solid percentage from the field and has shown the ability to get to the free throw line. Were looking forward to having him in a Bucks uniform. Charlie and Dan are two high-character veterans who can provide us with some of the intangibles that we need on our squad, said Golden State GM Larry Riley. They are both experienced veterans who will be welcomed additions to our very young team. Additionally, while we certainly wish Corey well and thank him for his outstanding contributions the last two years, this will help alleviate a log-jam that we have at small forward and, more importantly, power forward, where we expect both Brandan Wright and Anthony Randolph to return from injuries and play an increased role on our team next season.

Well I am sure glad that didn't go through! Villanueva is terrible and getting an expiring with no young talent does not make a good deal to drop down 5 spots.
The pistons taking Brand was them trying to help us out given Brands terrible contract given Prince is an expiring. I do think Princes expiring and the 7th could get them the 5th Pick from Sac. Just depends on how much they love Cousins if he is still on the boardAnd for the Pistons Elton Brand is washed up and is not what he once was at the Clippers. Pistons can get better for Prince and the 7th pick
So EB is headed off to the Pistons? The pistons taking Brand was them trying to help us out given Brands terrible contract given Prince is an expiring. I do think Princes expiring and the 7th could get them the 5th Pick from Sac. Just depends on how much they love Cousins if he is still on the board
And if you want the 2nd pick you have to offer deals like that.
Ahhh ok, thanks for the info. So no potential Aussies going into this draft? No no no...
I doubt EB goes to any team until his deal expires
