Wow - a top 20 scorer for garbage (and only Gadzuric is an expiring). Well done again Bucks! Nice insurance for Salmons.

Hopefully Nellie will give both Wright and Randolph plenty of minutes.

Randolph would be crazy to stay in that shambles of an organisation and play for that genius of a coach.

Is it possible for Monta Ellis to dominate the ball anymore than he did this season? Guess we're going to find out next season.

BOOZER/WESLEY JOHNSON PACKAGE DEAL TO NETS?

June, 23, 2010
By Marc Stein

Increasingly loud hints that the New Jersey Nets intend to select Syracuse small forward Wesley Johnson with the third overall pick were initially dismissed as a potential smokescreen New Jersey orchestrated to convince Minnesota – which likes Johnson at No. 4 – to surrender an asset to the Nets for the right to trade up to No. 3.

Not so any longer.

A new theory circulating pegs Johnson as one of the first dominos in the free-agent frenzy that will officially commence July 1.

Multiple teams have passed along their belief to ESPN.com that the Nets have serious interest in Johnson at No. 3 largely because they believe it will help them land Utah’s Carlos Boozer in free agency.

New Jersey’s main position of emphasis once the free-agent market opens July 1 is power forward, with the Nets possessing an estimated $27 million in salary-cap space and with Brook Lopez and Devin Harris entrenched at center and point guard.

The connection between Johnson and Boozer? They're both represented by the same agent: Rob Pelinka.

The selection of Johnson would be a strong tip-off, sources say, that New Jersey will be chasing Boozer hardest when free agency commences, ahead of potential targets such as Phoenix’s Amare Stoudemire.

ESPN.com's Chad Ford indeed has New Jersey selecting Johnson with the third overall pick in his latest mock draft.

Looks like Miami trade Cook and 18th pick to Thunder for the 32nd pick!

http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/draft2010/news/story?id=5320725

High price to pay to clear extra cap space! And only about an extra $2m at that. But the threat of 2 max players joining Wade just got a bit bigger.

For the Thunder, another first round pick and Cook is a nice floor spacer with a reasonable contract. What a job that team has done rebuilding.

Just looking at Miami's situation a little more closer, given the cap is projected to be around $56.1m and assuming Wade re-signs for the max (I understand it is $16.5m for him, as well as James & Bosh), following the trade of Cook they should have around $28m in space. Don't imagine either James or Bosh is prepared to take a pay-cut so wonder if the Heat will try to trade Beasley and his $5m salary to create the extra space needed for 3 max contracts?

It also creates a weird situation if Beasley is traded as well - the Heat will have 3 superstars but only James Jones, Joel Anthony and Mario Chalmers under contract for next year. They'd have to fill the roster out with minimum contracts and would be praying for perfect health.

Of course, if they only net one other superstar, they could target some of the second tier free agents - David Lee, Ray Allen and the like, and flesh out the roster to create a deeper team.

This is going to be interesting.

No way the heat land.. I can't see James signing to go to another "mans" team. That is why I think the Knicks have a good shot because he could be the man there and then have someone like Bosh jump on.

If they do land more than one max it will probably be Bosh and Johnson.

Apparently Bulls and Clips are in talks around a Deng + 17th pick for 8th pick trade.

Would clear enough room for one max and one near max contract for the Bulls, and give the Clips a legit starting SF - they don't like anyone in the draft that is projected to be there so they don't see value in the pick.

Even if James isn't a part of the mix at Miami - and to this point I still think he is, although I wouldn't call it a certainty - imagine getting Bosh and Joe Johnson or Stoudemire and Johnson. Riley definitely wants Bosh and James to join Wade but it isn't a terrible fall-back position either way.

To be honest, if Bosh and Johnson join Wade, I think that's formidable enough.

I was hoping we could ship Iggy to the clips for 8..

Bosh and Johnson would be a great off season. But imagine if they luck out and come out empty handed?

Someone will go to Miami - even if its David Lee & Rudy Gay!

Chalmers - Wade - Lee - Beasley - Gay

Not sure if that's the starting 5 Wade would have in mind....

Yeah if I am Wade I wouldn't be happy with that at all. I don't see him leaving there though. Here are my guesses on how it pans out

Boozer - nets (pends on who they take tomorrow though)
LBJ, Stoudemire - Knicks
Bosh - Bulls
Lee, Johnson - Heat

Could switch Johnson and Stoud though.. I think the Wolves may even be stupid enough to through buckets and buckets at Gay. I think tomorrow may show some teams hands on what their FA plans are.

Yeah seems to be a lot of talk about Nets targetting Boozer and taking Wes Johnson, which seems like a good couple of moves. Pair Booz with Lopez and that's a strong front-court with Lopez able to cover Boozer's defensive short-comings. Know squat about Johnson but everyone says he can shoot and the Nets badly need a 3. Although I saw something to suggest Nets now might be leaning towards Favors.....so much "misinformation" out there at this time of year, hard to know what's real!

Most everything else is up in the air though, Bulls, Knicks and Heat all would jump through hoops for Bosh, James or Wade but I still think Riley wouldn't have made that trade today if he didn't know something.

Only other thing I'd back is, assuming the Clips & Bulls don't make that trade, the Clips throw a max or near-max contract at Gay. He's coming off a contract year but he's still a solid player and would seem to fit in well with Davis, Gordon, Griffin & Kaman - can shoot the 3 or create for himself.

Good trade for Orlando if it comes true, Carter was playing like sh*t towards for most of this year and at 33 he is not going to get any better.

Its going to be an interesting day thats for sure.

The only player at Orlando who is safe is Dwight Howard, the rest are trade bait, another rumor is Carter and Nelson to the Hornets for CP3.

But i'd be happy if someone is silly enough to take Rashard Lewis lol.

No way the Wizards get anything of value for Arenas. Carter is a 17 mill exp deal... No way the Magic do that trade.

Not to mention how he would not fit next to nelson
