We've got a pretty solid core, so hopefully Johnson, Williams, Bibby & Horford can keep Crawford in line - they're all good guys. As long as he isn't taking shots away from our starters, Woodson will be happy with him hogging the ball - it's what Flip did last year and we need someone from our second unit to do that!

On another note, just want to mention Nash - had his second 20 assist game of the season. He's shooting 53% from the field, 49% from 3 and 92% from the line, averaging 18 & 13 for a resurgent Suns, who have gone 4 from 5 on a difficult East coast road swing (Miami, Orlando, Boston, Wiz & 76ers). Will J-Rich ever cool off? 16 of 21 from deep in his last 3 games = insane!

Suns will again be a fun team to watch this season. Ugh to think he had to limit himself last season by going through the Shaq/Terry Porter experience. All they need now is for Amarie to start firing like his earlier days.

In the end I don't see them as a serious play-off contendor but I think they'll be able to shake things up.

all i can say is, you guys are lucky you dont have jose calderon on your team. he is useless.
the guy lacks any form of defence or mind to push a fast break.

add to the fact toronto themselves are a sh*t defensive team, no problems scoring but cant get a stoip to save our lives

Calderon is a half-court player who takes care of the ball and knocks down shots. He isn't elite, but he's solid and is one of the better starting point guards in the NBA.

I think the best way to describe Calderon would be to say that he's a safe PG. As Tiger said, he takes care of the ball and is very rarely guilty of making bad turnovers.

On the other hand, the one problem I have with Calderon is that he's sometimes too safe a PG and will sometimes forgo a tough pass and keep the rock. Mortz is right on the his defense though, from the games I've seen of him, he seems to be terrible at stopping dribble penetration. In saying that, there aren't too many elite PG's that are good at that, cue Nash, another reason I rate Rondo highly.

Actually I think this works better for both teams.

Sasha and Adam Morrison for Calderon...

lol... sasha vucic is a cancer.
we will regret not drafting brandon jennings.
if the idiots that run our organisation pulled there finger out we could of traded calderon last year for gilbert.... but no..... they wanted that euro crap ball that i cant stand but play in every year

Interesting ending to the Denver vs Bulls game with video replay denying Miller a buzzer beater as it was deemed that he didn't get the shot of in time.

Nuggets won 90-89.

The Los Angeles Lakers are cruising without their gimpy big man, and they might have to limp along longer than expected.

Lakers coach Phil Jackson said that Pau Gasol, who is trying to rehabilitate a sore hamstring, might not return until Christmas, the Los Angeles Daily News reported on Wednesday.
"I find that hard to believe, that it's gone backwards. ... Right now, he's capable of doing only so much and nothing else," Jackson said, according to the newspaper. "But it is mysterious, no doubt about it."
The defending champion Lakers are 6-1, and Gasol is expected to miss his eighth straight game when Los Angeles hosts Phoenix on Thursday.
Asked if he knew when Gasol would practice or if he had a target date for his return, Jackson said: "No. We're starting to look toward Christmas, though. Some time out there."
The Spanish forward missed just one regular-season game last year and was the Lakers' second-leading scorer while averaging 18.9 points, a team-leading 9.6 rebounds and 3.5 assists.
Jackson was asked why Gasol's injury is mysterious.
"Yeah, because with most hamstrings you see bleeding or bruises or holes in the hamstring," the coach said. "His has been one of those things wasn't a big concern to us, but has turned into a month-long injury."
