It was interesting on NRL 360 they said that it was the board that wanted Hayne and not Henry. He had them firing on all cylinders before that deal and it's been downhill ever since. Could have really built a good side with that Hayne money.

Yeah, I had heard he didn't want Hayne.
He had the team going in the right direction and it has fallen to shit since signing Hayne.
Whether it's a coincidence or not, not too sure.

I'll say it again; they made the 8 from a piss easy draw 9/11 wins v Bottom 8 sides, hardly firing from all cylinders lol

Titans fans are delusional.

In fact they had 2 wins v Knights and 2 wins v Tigers lol

And this is a total crock of sh1t by PK. Saying that he didn't want Hayne because he doesn't want to manage his cap with a super star. This is the same coach that tried to get DCE to the Titans. The suggested strategy of Henry doesn't adhere to the facts.

Majority of coaches that have coached in the NRL are terrible tbh, there's only a handful of good coaches

So true. 90% of them are Bellamy clones.
The game does not really have any fresh ideas coming through or out of the coaching ranks as everyone just comes up through the same NRL buddy system.
The code needs a second tier (maybe B-League) that is totally independent of the NRL clubs.

He did alright with Canberra but really fell off after that. North Qld never looked like winning while he was in charge, and the Titans haven't really changed fortunes since he signed.

Bit of a teflon stench to him.

What about the A-League?? Surely some of them coaches would have some fresh ideas.... Graham Arnold worked wonders for Sydney FC last season, he'd go alright....

Actually no, he's got 2 first names....

I'd get coaches in from college football to have a look at rugby league. Need more outsiders to get new ideas.

Yep it's been confirmed here. Problem for Neil Henry he has another year with Jarryd Hayne and he's only got a year left on his contract himself. If NRL stay owner's for now they are likely to let Henry stay on because they don't want to pay out his contract and hire a new coach. If a new ownership group step up they would more open to sacking him and going in a different direction.

90% of you is dunce, every team needs a Bellamy . . . or haven't you noticed his fresh ideas reflected in for-and-against

We need coaches to come along and say "Bellamy Ruck Ball (BRB) is ruining the game and driving fans away, heres how we beat BRB". Those sorts of coaches just aren't going to develop from within the current NRL coaching structures because they have all come to accept that BRB is the only way to play.

One of the things I hate most about Bellamy is the guy is the leading coach, he sets the tone for the other coaches and he is utterly useless with the media. He sets the culture amongst coaches that we are surly with media questions, we say the bare minimum, we stare at them as if they just asked about my 15 year old daughter, then we get the hell out of there.
