never trust a man with two first names

Worse is someone with a surname for a first name and first name for a surname

There was someone called "Tyler Henry" on some advert for televised garbage the other day where he claims to be able to speak to dead celebrities

I wonder why none of them have told him his name is the wrong way round?

Is it Henry or Hayne that is the question? Interesting some Titans figures have also disputed the story that Neil Henry didn't not want Jarryd Hayne at the club when they originally signed him.

Jarryd Hayne v Neil Henry: Titans in crisis as coach issues ultimatum

THE Gold Coast Titans have plunged into crisis following explosive revelations coach Neil Henry issued the club an ultimatum to choose between him and Jarryd Hayne.

The $2.4 million Hayne experiment is on the brink of collapse after the enigmatic fullback admitted he would quit the club if Henry did not want him there.

Hayne appears certain to exit and in a dramatic twist Henry is also fighting for his future on the Gold Coast unless he can smooth tensions with influential Titans figures.

Henry and Hayne will be summoned to meetings with club powerbrokers on Monday in an attempt to bring an end to the drama.

Henry did not return calls yesterday while Titans chief executive Graham Annesley declined to comment on the saga.

A special investigation by The Courier-Mail has uncovered the extent of the Hayne-Henry feud, revealing anger, mistrust and lack of faith within the NRL club which has seen the Titans plummet into wooden spoon contention.

Multiple sources have verified a frustrated Henry claimed the Titans must choose between him and Hayne during a fiery meeting with club hierarchy recently.

Other revelations from the investigation include:

— Titans management attempted to mediate the Henry-Hayne time bomb without success, prompting the coach to issue the ultimatum.

— Henry’s reluctance to deny reports he was against signing Hayne has angered Titans powerbrokers who had publicly asserted that the coach was involved throughout the process.

— Halfback Ashley Taylor is monitoring the coaching situation. Taylor is reluctant to commit to the Titans long-term while uncertainty is swirling around the club, opening the door for a rival to poach the rising star.

— Henry’s relationship with some players has crumbled over contract negotiations. The Titans do not have a recruitment manager for their NRL squad and the coach has put some players off-side by personally informing them of their worth to the club.

— A group of players met secretly following the recent loss to the Wests Tigers to discuss Henry’s coaching.

Hayne, 29, on Saturday declared he would walk out on his $1.2 million deal next season if asked, however the situation is more complex than that.

Hayne’s management would be unlikely to forfeit a guaranteed salary for 2018 without having another option secured, creating the possibility of another lingering Robbie Farah-Wests Tigers situation.

If another NRL club wants to sign Hayne, the Titans would need to agree to a six-figure severance package which would be included in the club’s salary cap next year."

Now by no means am I a Hayne fan but geez he's copping it hard. While sure he's form has been poor, it's not entirely Haynes fault the Titans suck this year. Only Ash Taylor and Jarrod Wallace can hold their head high after this season. The entire team has been poor all year and the coach has to take his share of the blame for that

The thing I don't understand is if Henry is fed up with Hayne why has he still been playing him? I think he's lost the whole squad and is blaming it on Hayne as a last resort.

Henry seems like that old teacher at School who has been there for 40 years. He may be smart and know what he is talking about but is boring as bat shit and commands zero respect from his students, so they glue his draws shut and shoot spitballs at him when he is turned

Don't let the last 3 weeks cloud your judgement.
The last 3 weeks, especially the last 2 have been diabolical, but before that, the Titans have done pretty well with the players they have, plus injuries etc.

It seems to me that Hayne thinks he will win a power struggle which is why he told the media Henry wasn't talking to him.

Parasites like Badel et al sensationalise shit enough as it is without players telling him shit. All this has done is give him an excuse to say Taylor wants out because Henry may be gone.

Reports are Neil Henry likely to be given the pink slip.

"THE Gold Coast Titans are on the verge of sacking embattled coach Neil Henry.

Thursday night’s match against the Parramatta Eels is likely to be his last game.

Superstar fullback Jarryd Hayne emerged as the winner of his power struggle with the coach after a crisis meeting on the Gold Coast on Monday.

Titans officials emerged from the talks convinced their relationship was untenable.

It will cost the club $400,000 to pay out Henry 12 months before his contract expires.

It would have cost three times that amount — $1.2 million — to get rid of Hayne.

Sources on the Gold Coast have revealed Henry’s problems at the club — and with the player group — are not just restricted to Hayne.

There have been suggestions for some time of conflict and disagreements with other stars, including boom halfback Ash Taylor."

So I guess the question turns to now, who replaces Henry? I know Bellamys name has been thrown out there but I doubt that will happen.

Yep. All three of Henry's coaching gigs have ended less than favourably (assuming the Titans do give him the flick). Hayne cops the shit but does anyone truly think that the Titans would pick Hayne over the coach if they truly backed Henry? Or that one sulky star can make the entire side play like they couldn't care less? Even when Robbie Farah was allegedly holding the Tigers over a barrel he had mates.

It's only Weidler but he was reporting that the playing group is fractured and Henry has lost the senior players. It's much more than Henry vs Hayne...but blaming an underperforming star with a history of not training well is the easy headline.

Hayne 'not training well' backed by poor game form isn't just a headline, it's fact. You're not talking about a 200k player. I reckon some of the players are dirty on Hayne and others are dirty on Henry for not doing something about Hayne(if the reports are true & the board wanted him then his hands are tied & they will get their way - punt Henry).
For me all this starts and ends with Hayne when you consider how the Titans were going prior to his arrival.

As if the Titans situation could get any worse. Now the place is being run by Jarryd f**king Hayne. Did anyone learn anything from Farah and the Tigers?

If that were true why are a bunch the players allegedly "backing" Hayne?

Again, it's easy to blame the underperforming star, but Hayne doesn't make the rest of the side play like soft cocks. Seems to me the obvious answer here is that Henry has lost a group of the players, including Hayne, and Hayne is the easy target in the whole mess.

Realistically it's probably best for the Titans to move Henry on and then not renew Hayne when his deal is up. After all, he's not the sole issue, but he's still on a big deal that he's not living up to. Start fresh.
