This has to be concerning if your a Wests Tigers fan.

Benji Marshall, albeit still only 19, is fast becoming a player you grimace over each time he makes a play in the Tigers jersey given his small frame.

The youngster may have a "electrifying sidestep" though I would hope this is not all he will be known for over the next few seasons given the enormous amount of hope and time invested in the young kiwi.

Marshall is not likely to play another trial as reported, there is a chance he may miss the Round 1 opener...hardly an ideal lead up for Sheens and co. given we are still only talking about a NRL player with 11 first grade appearances to his credit.

Again, I do not doubt his talent, though admittedly he is a player that the media has built up to the point of falling into the "overrated" catergory as he has not really done anything to solidify his hype apart from a few choice side steps.

"The next Brad Fittler!"....hardly

And I'm sure that you believe that Marshall is the one who is walking up to the media and telling them to hype him up like that..

If the media is going to hype him up as "The next Brad Fittler..", tell me how the f*** is that Marshall's fault that the media is whoring him up so much?

This is for TigerMo for the tiger fan impersonating a sheep not reading any post from mine (yeah you Balmain Boy)....

Before posting, how about reading any post from myself and enlighten the readers where I put blame on Marshall? Step back, re-read and go from there...

It may also help to get off the soap box as well TigerMo before posting something directly at another member in this case myself.

I wouldnt say Marshall is overrated for one second. In the limited time on field. He's shown that he not only posesses a step but also has great vision, a good passing game and a good thinker. When he comes back and gets a bit of game time under his belt that will all become a little more obvious.

OVERATED !! he shouldnt even be rated. he hasnt played near enough footy to be classed as anything. all i have seen him do is sidestep and be a spped bump for the opposition.
