New Board to be sacked

There has been a request to the Commission for the sacking of the people currently in the directors seats, along the lines of Cullens interpretation of the consitutional breech.
I would think it has a fair way to go but if there is a breach, a new election will have to be called.
could this be the shorterst term board in history?

Surely not.

Let them do the job now FFS. I don't like em but they are there, so give them a chance.

This is reprehensible action by those who didn't get elected.

If the Sharks is their first priority, then surely they'd understand that bringing more bad press and negativity to the club isn't the best thing for the club, especially over such a pathetically f**king trivial thing that, lets face it, would've had no f**king impact on the result of the election.

"Oh wow, a sharks logo, I'll vote for them!"

Give me a break.

It's probably a good thing that these idiots didn't get elected, as they appear only to be interested in having authority and not helping the club.

FFS. I was one of the most vocal critics of unity but the best thing for the club is for them to be left to get on with governing the club. The members have spoken with a strong mandate. Let them get on with it.

Agreed, it's absolutely ridiculous those who didn't get voted in would deliberately sabotage the club just to get in.

What's done is done, they should move on and let the new board get on with their jobs.

But we're talking about rugby league clubs here. They have always been a haven for self interest and jobs for the boys, why should it ever change???

Firstly here are some clarifications about the serious breach of the constitution.
Firstly it is not over a logo.
1.The breach was the extensive excercise Unity went through to propogate the lie that unless they were voted in Carney would not resign with the club. Unity used a full page shot of Carney as the lead page on their web site insinuating that the only way Carney would resign was to vote them in.
2. The 2nd & most important point is that Unity PROMISED for the entire period that as soon as they were elected that the 4 sacked employess would be re-employed.
3. Cullen highlighted this a serious breech & did not have the time to call the elections off.
4. This has caused for the process to go through the correct channels & call for a re-election.

This process should ahve gone through prior to the election so that the correct information would be received by the members stating that.
a. Carney was not interested who the board was when it came to resigning
b. That unity has no authority or ability to re-instate the sacked personell
c. That that Unities entire campaign was upon lies perpetrated by individuals that were not even members of the club a week before nominations closing to try & control the club.

Unity should walk away now, beforethey do futher damage to the brand, go away & think about their underhanded actions & try again next elections with something that resembles an honest campaign.

& I doubt Unity could mobilise again the 500 or so people over the normal voting numbers that miraculously swept them into power.

I don't give a f**k anymore

Are these blokes going to do any worse than those who have gone before them?

They did a good job in the campaign
Got it out there and romped it in.

Apart from old mate who came on here I didn't hear squat from the others.

Luckily I actually read the mail out or else I wouldn't of had a clue who was running.

Be that as it may reefy, the issues mentioned are:

??Serious issues lie with the syndicate?s promotional materials for election,?? it said.

The letter also questioned the syndicate?s promise to reinstate four staff members that were subject to an internal investigation.
No mention of players in any capacity at all.

Fugg me. When will I wake up and all this shyt will be over. Other hobbies/interests are beckoning me.

I tried that. Played golf a lot for weekends.
Got the garden and grass growin well.
But somehow the footy always draws you back in. Kinda like heroin.

Btw. Anyone want to buy some golf clubs??

The club doesn't have the funds to run another election, which would obviously upset the ones who complained.

I fail t se what almighty power the NRL has over the clubs constitution....
