new cricket forum - whats the verdict?

sure you have things in there little place now, but i dunno

the members pavilion to the normal cricket section - why have the two?
EDIT - cant see why we are hiding non members from the pavillion section, doesnt make sense to me

Yeah it's stumped me a bit - I couldn't find it earlier and new this was happening well in advance!

The Members Pavillion is here because over summer we expect (based off the last few years) a drastic increase in traffic. Once footy season ends, the cricket forum becomes one of LU's most popular forums. As a result we get alot of non-cricket topics in here (or worse, non-cricket topics disguised as cricket topics. See the Sunshine thread for more info) which become abit of a chore for the mods.

The members pavillion will give everyone a chance to talk about Sunshine's bum or whatever whilst in the actual cricket forum, shockingly, we'll talk about cricket. Threads which don't belong in there will be shipped in here accordingly.

The match day forums are in response to the successful NRL game day forums, and will be a place you can check in whilst at work or wherever for a quick update.

As always, the mods and admin are keen for any feedback you guys have. Obviously some things will work, some will not. It's all trial and error.

Either way, from this point on, cricket is the go. So here's looking forward to a long, hot, cricket-filled summer.

I actually like it TBH the match day sections of the NRL and Football forums have been successful IMO

what is the difference of posting new threads here (members pavillion) as oppossed to the general section?

Is the other section gonna die eventully?

Domestic/International sections- actual game threads
