Storm's original colours were mostly dark blue (and they should have stuck with it rather than going to mostly purple). Dark blue seats would have made more sense on a wide number of fronts. Oh well green it is, still an awsome looking stadium and can't wait to get to a game there.

Storm fans must be champing at the bit.

With a world class facility like that I would suggest it will be much easier now for existing fans to drag along anyone & everyone they know down there to experience a game. Should double/triple the fan base quickly I would think.

In fact all Storm members have already been sent a free family pass (2 Adults + 2 Kids) for the Storm v Cowboys home game - this will give a lot of new people the opportunity to watch RL at the new Stadium...

I love the green seats, and it makes this stadium unique, colour wise, for Australia too. Awesome.

The stadium looks awesome, although I don't like the green seats, but I don't think that will stop people from turning up in numbers. I hope this helps Melbourne increase their crowd numbers significantly!

Victory, Heart, Rebels, Storm didn't get their team 'represented' in seat colour, big deal. Purple, Dark Blue, Red seats look dumber than green, and they'll stand out even more the darker the colour when the ground isn't full. Would prefer the light blue thats the default 'worried it will stand out that the ground is half full-fear' colour, but green is fine.

Green will work fine when Australia play there, [or the Raiders]

The stadium builders have probably chosen green because it's a neutral colour and didnt want to offend teams of any code by matching the seats to a rival codes teams colours. Very sensible if you want teams to play there.

Watch the Storm do the smart thing and have a 2nd kit that is green so they can match the stadium and call it their own :p

I think the fluorescent green ME Bank panel on their jersey has them halfway there.

What happens in 2022, when either the Storm play a massive match or the NRL wants an SOO in Melbourne? Given that Etihad Stadium will then be owned by the AFL, wonder if they will lock out other sports and force us to play at AMMI Park...something to ponder...

hopefully vic v wa origin will be just as big an event by then!
