In the wake of Gower losing the job because of disciplinary reasons, who do you think would be the best player for the job?

I have gone for T. Leads by example, and that could be just what we need.

Priddo - feel he's too ill-disciplined - but has potential.

No question about it. Tony Puletua will get the job no matter what we all think.

And what I think - definately the man for the job.

Tony will get the job, Priddo is the only other obvious candidate.

If you wanted to go for someone younger the only person who really springs to mind as even a possibility would be lewis.

I'm saying Priddo.... he's off contract soon and it might be used as an incentive for him to stay.

Even though Priddo being captain may benifit the team best. Big T's loyalty to our club in signing an enourmously long contract at a bargain price needs to be rewarded.

The thing is Gower will still be captain on the field.

Sure he won't be talking straight to the refs but he will lead the team like he always as.

Gower will still have his leadership role, for sure. The club captaincy is more an official role, almost the face of the team, doing the media, etc.

In 2003, we saw Gowie come of age as a captain and turn in some top performances which he has continued to do.
In 2006, with the pressure of captaincy taken from him, I expect him to fully explode and make the NSW and Australian #7 jerseys his own. Joint captaincy - GOWER, PULETUA and PRIDDO but not fussed if T or Priddo get it.
