Why would he do that, they rejected him, why would he help them out.Or as someone else said, he currentl best way to help the club would be to provide some third party deals. It’d be cheaper too.
Just saying it’s an optionWhy would he do that, they rejected him, why would he help them out.
It is like the wife you might get a knock back but you still love herJust saying it’s an option
Maybe because, like all of us, he is a self confessed Dragons tragic who, no matter how much we might like to, cannot give up on the "dumpster fire".Why would he do that, they rejected him, why would he help them out.
Your a dreamer like me. My brain says give up on this mob, but my heart say stay. My worry is that the longer this disfunction goes on the more future fans ( young people) we will not gain. Our supporter base is looking more like out team. Old has beens. Me included!Maybe because, like all of us, he is a self confessed Dragons tragic who, no matter how much we might like to, cannot give up on the "dumpster fire".
Or maybe another description fits the bill for that deal, 'corruption'. It was long drawn-out negotiations that resulted in the acceptance of a lower bid from WIN but with no real benefit to the Club. Thow there must have been some benefit to someone due to the negotiation length. OH yes, Craig Young to the Chairman of the Board position even though this great player failed at most positions he has been appointed to since he retired from playing. And yes, the re-appointment of Peter Doust to the Board. How is he a turd? He offered big money for a share in the club and it was turned down in favour of a smaller one from WIN. Sour grapes maybe, but Paul Smith isn't the turd in this scenario.

The only reason Bennett came to the Dragons is,he was supposedly to go to the Roosters. The Roosters were to keep there mouths shut about the deal but did not.Doust brought in Bennett and Bennett came out just recently and said Doust was the best CEO he worked with. He may have made some bad choices but the Bennett one was the best in our history since the merger. We cannot deny him that.
As for the sale, it looks like the Illawarra faction won that war as the Gordan's are Illawarra through and through. They have no care for St George as long as they can hold onto Illawarra being part of the NRL. I cannot believe the Gordan's have no access to decent 3rd parties like other owners of clubs. That is a huge disappointment as I thought that may be the reason for them to also win the bid.

So Bennett cancelled the deal. Came to the Dragons (2nd choice) on 3yr deal, he wanted 5years, thanks to that
imbocil DOUST.
Bennett came , won us a premiership thanks to some astute forward purchasing.
Also sacked some forwards who were not pulling their weight. But all the time Bennett was coach, he would not speak to,or have DOUST
anywhere near his team.
He made all communication
through Craig Young.
So that is the he liked DOUST. Never had to talk to him.
Total garbage.Much of what you say has been refuted by Bennett.
Bennett reveals why Doust was 'one of the best' he's worked with
Wayne Bennett wouldn't have signed as coach of the Dragons in 2009 if he'd caught sight of the club's then underwhelming training facility first, but what happened next is one reason why he's hailed outgoing club CEO Peter Doust as one of the best administrators he's worked with.www.nrl.com

Forwards pack is very uninspiringSo, according to Webb, we have 27 signed for 2023 season. I assume the breakdown is:
Backs: 12 + 1
Hunt, Ramsey, Bird, Sullivan, Feagai, Feagai, Ravalawa, Mbye, Suli, Amone, Sloan, Lomax.
unconfirmed re-signing- Moga
Forwards: 12 + 1
Woods, McCullough, Burns, Lawrie, Liddle, Molo f, DeBelin, Hunt J, Sua, Kerr, Molo m, Fuimaono
unconfirmed continuation of contract- Burgess
Total = 26
Unconfirmed signing - Lui-Toso
Total - 27
Unless the unconfirmed aren't coming back, then we don't have much wiggle room with only 3 spots remaining for '23 season.
And some height 188cm110 kg
At last a bit more size
At the Dragons forum at the Leagues Club earlier this year Ryan Webb admitted that we have an ageing supporter base. Then he said he didn’t know why. He lost me right there & then. No frigging idea. And no desire to really understand why. They don’t know or care!Your a dreamer like me. My brain says give up on this mob, but my heart say stay.
