I have no doubt that switching Lomax and Suli has been negative as both have struggled so far. I wish Hook would switch them back asap but I won’t be holding my breath with the stubborn old coach

Surely we start negotiating with Liddle if we haven't already. If Kerr can keep his form up too, I don't see a reason not to re-sign him on either a 1 or 2 year deal, keep him honest and working. At the very least, Kerr will provide better depth than some others in our ranks.

yes great point, problem is players want to know who their coach is for next season. Problem with Liddle is hunt may move to hooker next year, so where does that leave Liddle? off the bench for 30 minutes a game?

Most likely if Hunt did go to 9 yes. I don't think Hunt will move next year though, more likely in 25. I suppose if/when he does move you could bring Liddle on for longer minutes and leave Hunt on the field as almost a third half, similar to what qld do when Grant goes in to play hooker off the bench.

Liddle is a must keep and looking like our best buy in a long long time and I think the coaching staff are handling his usage very well thus far.

Kerr now knocking on the door as a must keep as well.

Couchman should be locked up immediately and his brother looked at closely for blooding later this year in an effort to get him locked up as well.

The future always looks brighter after a good win.

Hunt and Liddle can share at 9 can't they. Both good 9's and both want to 'preserve' their bodies. Personally, I've always liked Muhl too. Hope he gets a crack one day.
Gees, this forum bagged Liddle when we recruited him. I thought he'd nail it. The fact that the Tigers didn't play him should have been a criticism of the Tigers, not of Liddle.

Plus it looked like Lomax was back to his old kicking tee and style. 5/7 much better
Yeh but he is still trying to move the ball around left to right right to left like a golfer or soccer player
It still looks too mechanical and not as consistent. I dunno
He still has the tendency to just yank it left like one of the shots last night

I looked at the xtended highlights. Allowing for the tries we bombed we should of put 50 on em :)

Lomax is a case study in a guy who makes things unnecessarily difficult. He's a natural athlete. All he has to do is not focus so hard on proving himself. If he lets himself off his leash his natural abilities will do what they must.

Agree Old Timer on Couchman. I am really impressed with his toughness and agilility. Kerr is also looking a lot better. Also agree Liddle has added spark around the ruck.
The dissapointing part off the weekend i noticed was that we let Bostock leave. He copped a fsir bit off treatment but still kept coming, fast big and tough. Like Couchman he has a lot of talent.

I was impressed with Bostock, took a lot of punishment and kept coming, when he fills out he will be a good'n.

We need to wait a few weeks to infact see if we are getting a new coach and who? They have an opportunity to mould their team with many players coming off contract.

Both the Couchman brothers have had their contracts extended
I think to end of 25

The only knock on Liddle related to his horrendous injury run. I prefer to see him play 50-60 minutes rather than suffer another major injury.

I recall we were first linked with Liddle long before the deal ended up actually going through. I remember thinking, and posting then that Liddle would be a great buy. A couple agreed, but some laughed and mocked the idea. Good on the guy for coming through his injury woes (touch wood) and playing so well. He is fast becoming a fan favourite too which is really pleasing. Like you say, how the tigers didn't keep/play him over Simpkin is an absolute mystery, but their loss is our gain.
