Fifita wasn't really happy leaving Manly as was Suli -
Was going to post but kudos David.
Suli isn't the sharpest tool.in the shed.
So Moses is coming for the sake of it.
Well Moses if you don't want your be here on your bike.
But you won't because your getting overs.
A child can speak better these guys when asked certain questions.

He wanted to stay as many players do play with mates they have known for years but salary cap bites and you have to move on except for some clubs

Although the money dangling in front of Suli might have been the initial catalyst to come to the Dragons, as he wasn't too sure about leaving the comforts over at Manly, I think that he has come to accept being a Dragon even though his current form contradicts my thought.

I'm sure that the new guys will also accept their decisions once they get into the swing of things and maybe they know that Des is coming?

I saw Suli's interview and I didnt have a problem with it ....before everyone starts jumping up an down saying he doesnt want to be here etc etc I didnt see it that way...the bloke was being honest about leaving Manly as he was happy there and probably leaving his mates, the Nothern beaches etc etc.....salary cap restraints and available positions in a team often decide what a players movements would be....and just a closing sarcastic remark if one of our players had moved on and was being interviewed like Suli I wonder if they would start off by saying I was happy at the Dragons !!!!!!....Mmmm would be interesting wouldnt it

Yep. I don't know why Suli's interview is such a big deal. Sims, Gosiewski, Burgess, none of them wanted to leave and they all expressed disappointment at being moved on. Pretty natural reaction at having to change clubs.

Yes maybe, I agree re honesty, but of course the manager will pour water on it but they way it was said just leaves me with a sour taste
Yep, same here. Honesty is good, refreshing in fact but his lack of passion for the club cannot be segregated from the performances on field. Clearly he doesn’t want to be here still but is only here because he has to be. If he’s feeling it, and others have been requesting releases then you don’t even have to read between the lines. Hunt’s post game interview was another example of honesty and reflects how lost this group of players are.

Likewise l agree Suli's honesty was refreshing... l probably wished he hadn't said it, but he was honest. I was very happy to hear him say things like - l hope the boys come down here and have a go TOO !!! - So he has come here to have a go... AND he wants others here having a go to try and win footy games. I think that is more important then "I always followed Saints when growing up" when its really just marketing waffle... just be honest and have a go, and learn to love the club you as you grow.

Suli had the best year of his career last year and was one of our better players. He's not been great so far in 2023, but who has? His form might have something to do with the coach switching him over the right side for.... reasons?
I assume to stop Lomax throwing that flick pass Willy nilly

This is such a beat up; taken out of context and the meaning behind what he was trying to say, imo; non story…….
yeah our players are a happy, cohesive and connected bunch who will die for each other on the field and thank their lucky stars each time they get to pull on the historic red v…

Suli’s attitude and lack of pride in wearing our jersey is a big part of our problem and is a typical example of the type of player we have at our club. I don’t care what side of the field he plays on; make your tackles for 80 minutes and then tell us how you care about the famous St George. Otherwise, clear off.

I’d take a 45 year old Matt Cooper any day.

Your are right on the money I T.

The press love to twist the players comments to suit their narrative.

I'm f**king sure many a coach would like to have told the press where they actually wanted to coach and what they felt when turfed out of a particular club especially after having had a long tenure (how say you Mr Bennett?)

Do we really think Des wanted to be at the Dogs?

It's time people realised that this is a business and head hunters poach the best staff as often as they can and loyalties are put aside in the process.
