I would actually shake in my boots a bit if nsw picked jason's team. Good news is that they won't. Wade graham is the weak link.

If Farah can just focus on his defensive aspect then he should be ok. He's probably the most effective hooker in the game at tackles in the hitting and sticking department

It's when he gets too involved in attack that it starts to cause a problem

I am warming to Dugan over Tedesco at fullback. Right now Dugan seems to put his body on the line more and he plays well even when the forward pack is losing. Tedesco does this too but not quite as well I think. Unfortunately fullback is the only position we have good depth in.

We need wingers that can also make the tough runs. I'd go Mansour if form permits, not sure of the other winger. Jennings is a must, maybe Josh Morris for the other. No to Ferguson.

Halves are the toughest. Reynolds needs to prove himself on form. I am leaning toward Maloney although he can be a liability. I would pick Sezer unless Reynolds form is too good to refuse.

Junior Paulo and Fifita on the bench.

Farah is hooker by default really as Ennis is too slow for origin.

Frizell would need a good dominant half on his side and run him at Thurston all night. No Moylan not proven defensively in the halves.

That's all I have for now.

You'd choose Boyd cordner who hasn't even had a game yet? I'd honestly prefer Greg bird or Beau Scott over him. Always gotta have one of those tough bastards in there somewhere

Also maybe Chris Lawrence and before you laugh, actually watch him play first. Guy has turned into a beast since joining the 2nd row

big hit!

The JJ selection in game 1 last series was a laugh. Daley doesn't select players out of position, but then selects a young bloke who had been playing on the right edge at Canterbury for most of his short NRL career, as the state's starting middle forward - one of the most demanding positions on the rugby league field in Origin.

Furthermore, all this form talk is absolute bullshit. Selecting young kids on purely on 'form' really disregards a whole heap of variables which is contributing to that 'form'. One of the myriad of issues NSW origin has had over the past decade is the selectors having absolutely no idea about how to select a player on attributes, or not doing the work to get to that stage. Instead, they mostly relying on a 6-week YouTube highlight reel. Yes, I understand that you don't just select numpties struggling at NRL level, but if a kid is killing it on club form, then the next step as a selector is to analyse what attributes they have which translates to the elite level. f**k me, Daley is a full-time coach without any club commitments, and what else does Bozo do? Does he still do the radio if a weekend? Either way, that leaves a lot of time for properly analysing NSW-eligible players during the week which is what he also should be doing as a selector.

however, it's moot when there is an embedded culture of doing it for yourself, and still playing the 1980s origin game of playing the man amongst the NSW player leadership.

Tbh I thought both Jackson and Cordner deserved selection when they were first picked but after the games they've played they should have a line put through them and should never be picked again. Both absolute shithouses at origin.

The hype around them was so unanimous that I thought I must have missed something when I watched them play. Got me excited to watch them in sky blue.

Turns out it was only hype. Bitterly f**king disappointed.

What the f**k have Boyd Cordner and Josh Jackson ever done to deserve their continued selection?
Lol

He was our player of the year last season. Even better than RTS. His form in the second half of the season was absolutely stunning.

It's not his fault he's been used poorly off the bench.

If he's fit and at his best then be should be one of the first forwards picked for NSW as an 80 minute backrower. Oh and will play 25+ games for his state and country. Get used to it. :D
