I'd be a little bit more worried about picking the same forwards that have been dominated more often than not over the last 5-6 years than who the fullback is, out of the fullback choices they can all do the job, the same cant be said for the forward pack

Boyd Cordner is the Mitchell Pearce of the back row. Annointed by those "in the know" as a world beater from a young age, so he will be selected every game whether he deserves to be there or not. All to give him the chance to fulfil the prophecy.

But to me so far I don't see how his game translates to this level. An example is Glenn Stewart. He is a brilliant club player but his style did not translate well to origin level at all with less time to ball play. I'm not saying Cordner and Stewart are the same player but I don't see Cordner's abilities as those that will shine at Origin level.

Josh Jackson is similar. After all every team needs a midget back rower with limited explosiveness. 5'10" and under 95kgs deary me small for a centre.

Is Semi gonna play considering he's in the Kangaroos team?

it would be a very daley thing to do to ignore the roos winger and push dugan to winger instead of put someone like hoppa at fullback and forget tedesco ever existed

Semi can't be picked.

I'd say Dugan being picked is Fultons doing and will ensure he picked their for NSW

Lol

He was our player of the year last season. Even better than RTS. His form in the second half of the season was absolutely stunning.

It's not his fault he's been used poorly off the bench.

If he's fit and at his best then be should be one of the first forwards picked for NSW as an 80 minute backrower. Oh and will play 25+ games for his state and country. Get used to it. :D

Big call on cordner there.

My only concern is the tigers are playing the roosters before origin 2, if pearce was not selected for game 1 the tigers are likely to make him look like the best halfback ever born and he will get picked for the rest of the series. See last year for precedence

I really think Pearce will be selected.. I hate it but I think Daley will do it.. He is stupid enough to do it too.

Havent felt this bad about our Origin chances since 2007 to 2010.

We are doomed with these pointless selections.
Pearce has proven he is not up to it and Hodgo playing shit at club level..
Who else do we have to play halves?
Surely not the tigers pair? They are worse than reserve halves.
The Raiders halves? They could maybe do it and I suppose the Sharks halves as well.

If I were selector, I blood some new guys. Greg Bird, Gal, Farah, Pearce and the Morris Bros have had their turn and failed.
Think to the future, Laurie.. We sure as shit aint going to achieve much this year.

Halves are looking dire at the moment.
Pearce hasn't played.
Maloney looks ok in a winning team.
Sezer looks sometimes ok in a shithouse team.
Hodkinson looks awful in a shithouse team.
Reynolds looks awful in a shithouse team.

I think Maloney looks good when he is the non dominant half but struggles being the main man.

Coote and Moylan are too small to be origin halves.

If the halves are an issue, that means we might need a playmaking fullback like a Coote or Moylan.

I worry they'll choose Pearce and JReynolds
