The other thing to note about super rugby's magic weekend in Melbourne is that I have little doubt 80% of the attendees were kiwis living in Melb
meaning the return for the Vic Govt would have been .....................zip
infact they'd of done their arse over the last 2 years from hosting this rubbish

last year was 22K total over the 3 days , this year looked even less.

They posted the Friday night which was 2 games. One involving the competition favourites and the other the local side ( rebels) 15k which is 7.5k per games. It looked like far less but you can see why they didn't want to show the next 2 days attendance

NZ is a massive market for talent. Another NRL team would be a good overall decision with long term benefits.

RU is starting to get it's grove. They've gone back to basics and with Eddie Jones back with the Wallabies, the All Blacks being privately funded and their recent results, it would be a good time for RL to get an advantage.
