Good call, and we'll definitely know if this era of the Warriors is contender material after the next 3 games - Storm, Roosters & Panthers.

Win at least 2 of those 3, and we are indeed the 'real deal'.
Just start making finals regularly then build on that

letting Sean Johnson go was stupid

top 6 would be good for this year top four would be amazing

They’ve had their momentum killlex a few times, by super league then coaching/management implosions. Crowds were good in 2002-03 and again in the Cleary years. This year though is looking the best since 95. But that could partly be to do with there only having been two games at Mt Smart so far this year. If they can maintain it that’ll be fantastic, especially when you consider Mt Smart itself is fairly in need of sone upgrades. It’s god decent main stands but it’s pretty rough around the edges.
They had a special of ten dollar adult tickets (5 dollar kids) running for 24 hours for the next home game

Yeah the Warriors are good like that, they know they’ve got a big chunk of local fans who are families on limited incomes and provide viable ticket options

With the years away from home it was a worry how they would go getting back their fan base

if this keeps up I expect nz2 to become favourites again for the next team
Surely there must be some business savvy multi-millionaires or billionaires in NZ that could see all this potential for NZ2 to form a bid or consortium?

I read Dean Bells autobiography and he mentioned when he was in the Warriors it was the air travel that took it out of him and I wonder if thats the problem with the Warriors ?

dean bell was coming towards the end of his career when he joined the warriors so maybe age plays a big part in air travel?

either way it’s a huge handicap for the warriors who have to fly to Australia every other week that’s for sure.
