That city has the beset chance of it working and it's still a bad idea. That is literally the Warriors fan base. Geez I hope the game is just paying lip service to the Government on this one and also using it as a bargaining chip against other potential bidders and we aren't actually considering it.

The idea being that fewer players = superior game quality = more interest. But only if you ignore the fact that killing off five clubs is the equivalent to killing off 30% of your current audience…

That’s why he is an idiot. How much money would you lose by doing that from TV and sponsors etc?

Less money equals less investment to grassroots and less opportunities which in turn means that kids will find more opportunities in other sports.

Then in 20 years time some ignoramus like him will say that we don’t have enough quality for 12 teams or there isn’t enough interest in the game.
