What should they be called?
Canterbury In-breds

Canterbury Village of the Damned

Canterbury Cyclops

Canterbury Saracens (to compliment the rugby team)

You might be able to guess I'm not a fan of the region. Anyway, their team in the Bartercard Cup was called the Canterbury Bulls so that could be your starting point.

How about the Southern Shearers

What are you talking about old man?
Why would I be on an anonymous chat forum to boost my ego?

What do you think of Southern Shearers

Because you're deficient... that much is obvious.
Your incessant need to try and support your irrationally ridiculous thread. to the point that even after spending thousands on an overseas holiday you still post while away!! And lets not forget the meltdown.. that was truly epic.

You think the lack of desire for a second NZ team from anyone in NZ is not important? You think the lack of interest in anyone bidding for a second NZ team in NZ is not important???? Wow... and i thought you were stupid before that post...
Yea,
kiwis don't want more full houses with top line sporting entertainment ...
they want empty stadiums & more irrelevant dross , aka the stupor wugby

Nrl training is tougher

so it’s easy to turn raw talent into stars when union can’t cause of all the other stuff they have to practice like rucks mauls lineouts and scrums
It would be easy to lose interest very quickly in playing yawnion professionally at domestic level , empty stadiums , shit low quality opposition , lack of relevance among fans

no wonder Whare's motivation levels slipped

He comes across to the NRL & its

wow
this is more like it
I want to be a part of this , this is awesome

Yeah cause a midfield/outside back is going to spend so much time practising line outs and scrums

They wouldn’t be doing lineouts.
True but they still waste a lot of time in training on stuff that is irrelevant in league

even the outside backs have to practice general kicking in case they get caught one on one whereas in league that’s a specialised skill

What is your angle here? League is easy and a low skill needed sport. Odd comment from a bloke claiming how great the sport it. ;)

But you may be right, it was pretty easy for that fat fella playing for the Dolphins.

Why do they keep mentioning Jordie Barrett? Of all the AB backs he'd be low on the list of guys to pick up, he's not super quick. Should be going for guys like Ioane, Jordan, Clarke etc. Also, implying he'd be better than Ridge is even more bonkers.

I wouldn't mind if an AB switched after the RWC, it's been a while since we've had anyone switch, always interesting to see how they go. I always thought Piri Weepu would spend a few years playing league, but then he wouldn't really be considered a convert as he always played league.

I already said it above

nrl training is the best union players waste too much time on other things to be as good at the core skills
