We should all be proud of our team in New Zealand

the funny thing is at the start of the year people were worried about how the warriors would go after almost two years away from home

in fact the opposite happened. The nz public showed they missed top quality club rugby

if we are talking about timing nz should be the next team in the game is booming in nz now

if the current situation continues mt smart will need to be expanded or the warriors move a lot of games to Eden park to cope with the capacity

Nz needs a bid team to come forward and show theres someone there that wants to own and back and second club. I’m really surprised no one has.

You're again using a fake argument between loz and gordie to make some point about popularity, i told u before, it was made up to promote the great sports debate on channel 503
No, I'm addressing other people whom have used Loz and Gordie's "fake argument" to make some point about popularity...

15 nrl teams (warriors ignored) generated 15 million more tv ratings than 18 afl teams

even with afls greater crowds league won
Cherry picking. They have every other metric on their side and it's not even close. It's undeniable, and a only a fool would debate otherwise.

It is what it is, and trying to downplay it does nothing to change it.

Pretty big metric to ignore

but if that’s what you want to do that’s your choice

afl crowds are based on cheap tickets and huge numbers of mcg members padding the numbers or outright lies like giants crowds

and now with the dolphins (which you said would be a failure … remember that ?) the gap has grown further in our favour

in a few years vlandys has taken rugby league to number one spot

membership numbers are also largely bs too

there many other metric where rugby league dominates like social media followers, Twitter mentions, most profitable clubs, clubs with the most assets etc

theres huge numbers of mcg members at scg, optus, the gabba and adelaide oval? Wow they really are committed lol.

no ones ignoring the metric, but its just one of about 5 or 6 and in the others we are way behind. Like I said RL has a larger inactive following (Tv, social media etc) whilst AFL has a larger active following (attendances, memberships) and has much larger football club revenue and overall game revenue.

The day we can convert our tv audience lead into $'s and active fans is the day it becomes useful.

a 20 team comp with perth, NZ2 +1 will certainly help us on our way to #1.

But we need to get some interest from somewhere in NZ to host a second club. At the moment there isnt any we know of and as we have said NRL isnt an org to parachute one in and run it.

Active fans are people that pay for tv coverage of the game

that’s nrl by a long long way

I suspect we get double the pay tv viewers of afl

how much of afl crowds is based on full price tickets over 50 dollars ? It’s probabaly under half

and counting members in crowd numbers whether they show up or not is dodgy af

Such a boomer
You can't call non-boomers boomers just because they don't like silly manufactured sayings that haven't existed for the entirety they've been supporting the team.

This is simply hilarious, you've been arguing the exact opposite of this for the majority of thread.

It’s giving the warriors massive extra publicity and dare I say elevating them to a national platform especially with the younger generation

someone that claims to be a warriors fan would be supportive of this
