Canard’s alt account? Pretty obvious. This place has become exactly what they put shit on big footy for. Dumb claims and propaganda where you aren't allowed to criticise anything.

Exactly, Union players can switch to League. You're very proud of your WA numbers.. and NZ has about 6 × the amount of players.. not including the ones that have come to Australia. Another NZ team would double that by pulling kids over from Union to around 12× WA and once established and Super Rugby fails that will explode to around 25× the amount of players in NZ to WA .. when you allow for the fact that Kiwis are 5× as suitable to Rugby league then West Australians.NZ

You are all nuts lol
Nobody calls it gridiron lol
I wasn't calling you out, you overly sensitive git.The stated Union numbers vary between 140k-160k registered players depending on what you read. The NZRU governing body claim:
New Zealand Rugby has today confirmed 147,434 players for the 2023 season, an increase of 7 per cent, with women and girls' participation to 29,448.
Junior male numbers though are declining with 49,999 junior club boys registered, down 2 per cent on 2022.
However, senior men's club saw an increase of 3 per cent on 2022 to 33,500 players.
Female rugby player numbers rise but males in decline

This is what I was thinking but never posted itCanard’s alt account? Pretty obvious.
In 2023 there were more Women playing Union. And in Iran the Brown hijab is making a comeback- other not current or news we give a f**k aboutThe stated Union numbers vary between 140k-160k registered players depending on what you read. The NZRU governing body claim:

That relies on the assumption that union players will instantly switch to league. The grassroots level outside of Auckland is less than amateur, in many provinces it’s essentially run by gangs (and rival gangs at that), you will not get many Pakeha boys going anywhere near it until that changes dramatically.Exactly, Union players can switch to League. Rough estimates would put NZ around 125× more likely to produce NRL quality players over WA .
Which astoundingly is far better than the current WA contribution of 0 .. meaning Currently NZ is INFINITE in it's ability to produce players compared with WA ...
Please return to your Perth/ Singapore/ Zimbabwe( places that have nothing to do with league)...thread.
All pretty good points but the conversion rate will be more of a generational effect in a sense. Right now 10 year old kids are probably noticing League much more than years past, another team will dramatically see that increase .That relies on the assumption that union players will instantly switch to league. Also tight forwards which generally don’t translate well to league absorb players as they get older/fatter/slower, these guys reduce that convert player pool by about a 3rd

Really highlights how poor Perths chances are. Classic.
Don't be such a f**kwit all the time.Donkey and co - "PNG will produce thousands of players, they just haven't produced anything yet because they don't have a team"
Also donkey and co - "a state with no team having less players than an entire country with a team is proof that the state shouldn't have a team"
Of all the lies told on this forum, this is by far the biggest. The ARLC and Aus Gov are investing heavily in PNG's junior RL infrastructure as we speak.
Curious if there’s a comparative for Canterbury last year/2022 Crusaders going into their worst season since 96 vs Warriors coming off one of their best whether it’s a recent swing or a longer term trend.View attachment 86635

The Warriors are the most popular 'rugby' club in all of NZ except for Otago and Wellington, where they are a close second. In Canterbury, the Warriors are more popular than the Crusaders.
