Are you OK mate? You go through periods where you actually make some decent posts, then there's these periods like the last few days where you attack everyone and every idea rarely making sense.
Basically just hitting the jerk switch.
I can't help but think that you're going through some shit in your personal life.
Hope you're ok.
Trying to project mental health issues on others shows the class of person you are.

So warriors can sell out chch but not the crusaders

The nrl is making a grave error not giving them a team asap
Don't the Crusaders play like 12 games there every year though?

If anything the current novelty of a annual game guarantees an "event".

The NRL should make a couple of Australian based teams take their “home” games to New Zealand like Christchurch, wellington and Dunedin etc.

3 on The road games per season for 5 years should be plenty until the process for team #20 is concluded.

Knights colours tonight at the Christchurch game would make a good combo for a South Island team.
I've said elsewhere that this should be the Knights alternate - much like how the Panthers alternate is pink (not one of their main jersey colours) - as this would stand out far better against the plethora of teams wearing blue - especially the navy, white & red of the Roosters.. which alternate Newcastle kits generally struggle against.

However, If Newcastle don't do that, this colour-set would absolutely work for NZ 2 - as it's unique and "province neutral".

With the Dolphins, Bears and (likely) PNG using red in their colours, going to a shade of green would be a smart move.. and that green is close to greenstone - the Maori name of the South Island is Te Wai Pounamu which basically translates to "the water & greenstone".

OK, so 2027 Perth Bears enter the NRL.
Last year of current TV deal, NRL negotiates-mid contract for a little extra for the 9th game per weekend in that last year - or sells it to an interested new player.

2028 PNG enters the NRL, new 5 year deal starts.

2028-2032 Five years with an odd-sized (19 team) competition. We've been here before in 2002-2006. No problem.

Hopefully the NRL brokers regular games in strategically chosen locations (Adelaide, NZ, Central Queensland, Fiji) to build the following & scope interest.

2028- calls for bids for the 20th team. See what shakes-out

2033 - New TV deal starts. 20th team gets added for a 10th game per week as part of the new contracts, and two of the losing bids tapped as potentially teams 21 & 22 later in the decade - whether there's provision later in this TV deal, or set aside for the next one in circa 2038.

Always thought that shade of green as something the suits NZ. I had a plastic tiki ornament when I was a kid, it was that green and I always associated the colour with NZ. Then a decade later, the Warriors went green with their badge, and it all made sense to me.

I like it as the above Knights strip, hometown colours here, but I’d go with black rather than the cinnamon, and a healthy dose of white as above. Sweet colour combo for a NZ2.

It's a tiny market though.

It's smaller than Cairns.

I think there is better value in Chch or bigger NI towns.
Realistically the NRL should have a game at all of them and I don't think it has to involve the Warriors.
Dunedin has 30,000 seat roofed stadium and would sell out, that like Christchurch gets the attention of the whole south island.
Hamilton, Dunedin, Wellington and Christchurch all need the be on the NRL calendar imo.
Wellingtons would suit a double header.
I think as we get closer to seeing another NZ the more these kinda events we'll see . Not sure if it's by design but it sure is a big coincidence.
Magic round in Brisbane- new team..
Origin and double headers in Perth- new team.
We're starting to see more high profile games in Christchurch and I don't think it's a coincidence.

Dunedin is remote. It's to niche to have more than one game a season.

Chch has far more appeal and size of market.

Reality is though on the road games only take place where the host city or stadium owner is willing to pay for them. I'm sure if Dunedin put $500k on the table for a club to play there someone would take up the offer.

In terms of crowd revenue clubs would be in their best interest to face the Warriors to guarantee a large crowd. That’s been tried quite a few times by a few teams in a few locations and I can’t think of any that lasted their entire planned run before pulling the pin.
Can only assume clubs value the lift that a home game gives rather than take the money and have a hostile ‘home’ crowd. Warriors post covid took the cash option by taking the ‘home’ game for Magic round, even this they’re now against.
Pre Warriors days some NSWRL games in Auckland had success but since then only game I can think of 1 game since that has involved 2 non NZ teams which was played between storm and Dragons in Napier, at the time it was the first game played in the regional city and they only got a small stadium about 3/4 full.

Clubs dont move games unless theres a big wad of cash on the table for them to do so. It impacts their membership value and corporate sales to move home games. If Dunedin wants a game they will have to pony up for one.

Yep saw this post covid where clubs were asked to help out the Warriors by moving home games- only the Tigers actually followed through

I don't want to wait that long for NZ2.
