It will never collapse in NZ, there domestic SR during Covid was huge.

Regardless a Union team isn't suddenly going to switch to League.

How would we feel if the Broncos fielded an Aussie Rules team also?
Lol 100% The new ABs coach isn’t going to reduce his player pool just coz he likes Craig Bellamy

The clue was in the first sentence when Tony Kemps name came up-that is where rational thought stops
Is he a bit of a nut job? I heard him interviewed after the kiwis won the final. He gave no credit at all to Maguire or what Bennett did previously. Scoffed at the suggestion that they had input.

Just a bit Jaded and negative on NZ league since he got the boot from the Warriors coaching gig- he has some pretty out there ideas and a bit of a view point that he knows better than everyone else

So the Rugby world 7's isn't on ?
7s is pretty much a seperate sport from the rest of Union particularly in the last decade or so since it’s inclusion in the olympics it’s become a lot more specialised instead of the odd carnival novelty it used to be. Next to no players will play 7s and 15s(the odd player May transition to 15s) but definitely not in the same season.
It’s like saying there’s a touch tournament on so it must be league season.

There's Rugby Union 7s being played now. Rugby league has 9's and when the 9's was on, youd see jerseys everywhere.
Anyway, if there was an actual point in time of the year when Rugby league ( NRL) was mote dormant, this is it! There's nothing, absolutely nothing going on or has for months... can't believe I'm having a discussion about why it's not popular right now 🤣
But look who I'm talking to 🤣

What an incredible success that was.
For a time it worked but it's more about the Crusaders surviving the Super Rugby collapse.
As a Super Rugby team they have a roster of 5 million and even then the All blacks tell them who can play.. in a lopsided comp where they're expected to win.
They are a big fish in a small pond..
If they got entered into the NRL, they'd have full control of a 12 million dollar roster in a large comp that goes most of the year..
They'd be a small fish in a big pond..
But a much larger fish then they were.

They probably just wouldn't have the balls.

I'm pretty sure I'm arguing with all the same person. Which isn't really fair because I don't have to keep logging in and out and remember who I'm pretending to be 🤣🤣🤣

There a Union club.

Why would they even consider it? Why would the NRL even consider it?

It's a crackpot idea. Why don't the NRL just enter a team into the NFL??
