Yes looks good, just doesnt scream warriors to me..
The original Auckland colors do, i think it's the green when I saw the indigenous from a few years back, it was mainly black, and had the green and red curves it really looked like the warriors, the silver not so much

How come you pics aren't actually cropped?
Anyways yes this is a good jersey/color combo
Still I think the black white and teal is the way to go, or maybe go sea green or aqua like what the guys mentioned earlier here
Photo function on here doesn’t work for me

Not sure, I would imagine they would need to provide evidence before any bid is green lit otherwise if a bid is green lit and then all of a sudden they say actually we don’t have the money then that’s pretty shitty.

Considering the NRL is looking into the business cases of all the bids, then I imagine they do want to see hard evidence of cash or assets or something to offset the potential finances of the bids.

That’s how it looks like it’s played out so far anyways, I could be wrong
You’d hope after Searle lied to the nrl when setting up the titans they will not take him at his word! Shouldn’t be hard to check if they have $60mill legally binding in investor commitments and govt commitment to the CofE $100mill. The city development sounds pure speculation if and when.

if they can prove the $60mill+CofE money then that should be enough to get them in you’d think. If NRL is serious about another NZ club.

I don't think black & white (or even black white & silver/grey) would be a good idea - too close to Kiwis colours.

If black & white are in the mix, I think the brand needs a 3rd (or even 3rd & 4th) colour/s in the set that stands out a little & distinguishes from the Kiwis - something like a sea green would be great IMO.
Black and white is super versatile. Nobody is going to confuse a majority white jersey with an All blacks or Kiwis jersey. Anybody that whinges should be ignored.

You don't need more colours, just decent designers.

According to the media he promised the nrl bank guarantees were in place when they weren’t.
theres also a litany of dodgy stuff around the guy, the charity scandal, the player loan lies, the botched CofE project, the Scott prince salary cap house rort, etc. the guy seems pretty crooked.

Yeh most of that is post them being set up

Never heard of the bank guarantee before and surely the nrl would’ve checked it out before granting the license

This forum seems to forget how successful the titans were before the gfc hit and the afl brought in the suns

In terms of lieing and cheating I would think it’s pretty common amongst club ceo and chairmen

The key thing about all those jerseys is they have pretty even amounts of black and white - but I have a concern that if mostly black & white is the direction the Orcas take, it'll be yet another mostly-black home jersey & not balanced like the examples you cite.

If they use teal it could be another mostly blue home jersey and not balanced either. That'd clash directly with the Warriors, and most of the rest of the league lol.

Hire a good designer (and actually listen to them) and you won't have an issue no matter which direction you go, but I'll tell you for a fact that it's much harder to stuff up black and white than teal.

If they added teal in the way HFC add gold trim it could work fine. Just don't overdo it.

Coupled with the name change from Auckland to NZ, then the change to national colours some felt the club was masquerading as the national team and diminishing the kiwis.
Whilst I got used to the black colour scheme I prefer the original colours, don’t mind if NZ2 use black and white but need a strong 3rd colour (personal preference is a dark green)

Even amount of black and white would be fine and doesn’t clash with any current sides. The worry would be the away/clash jersey. If it’s a Canterbury side I’d just go red and black as a nod to the local area, given it’s a pretty under-utilised palette currently. Maybe keep some white in there and put some red trim on the main jersey to tie them together. Forest green or dark greeen instead of the red would work too. Please no teal, too close to the Titans and I hate the colour anyway.

Just adopt the SL way and have a different alternate each year in whacky colours. Gives the fans something different to buy when they got bored of the home jersey.
